  1. I would love to pick your brain on some pit info. Got inlaws in Pittsburg, and would love to haul my kayak down to find a personal best LMB. Better yet is catching a 24" fish for a Tourney in July!!!!
  2. Hmmmm wind is HOWLING here. No fishing in my book.
  3. Were you jigging marked fish? Or just a area you thought would be holding?
  4. Great day, Blue. I only managed a Crappie and a couple Largemouths @ Polk. But a bad day fishing os better than not fishing at all
  5. Id love to go. But I have a trip planned to Polk Daniel near Howard KS today. Ill hook up with you next spring for sure.
  6. As much as Im loving using Neds Rig. Come warmer weather, im a big bait kind of guy. Big Frogs!!! And Mini Slammers. Still will keep a Ned for smallmouths though.
  7. Wow. Nice looking fish. Man, i long for days like that.
  8. For sure it was. Caught about 12the drum. Half over 4lb. Crazy day. Fished Winfield City Lake.
  9. Here you boys go!!!! 27.75" Drum. On a PB&J Ned. Didn't have a scale (Nor do I own one) Guesstimates on weight?
  10. Me too, why cant you lose fat by watching TV??? That would be so much easier!!!
  11. Wife uses 7lb Sunline Shooter FC for main line. And I have 1/16 Outkast Money Jigs (Mushroomhead). Works pretty good. Super Glue (Gel) is a must IMO.
  12. What he said. Except Im using 10lb HiVis Braid, Fluoro leader. ;-)
  13. Anyone have any experience with renovated lakes? KDWPT took Kingman down, killed off some nuisance invaders and has started bringing it back up. Stocking with fingerlings up to 10" now, and adult LMB in March. Then replace the Pike they transplanted before the draw down. Im super stoked about them cleaning up the population to being a better gamefish population.
  14. If there was no wind, I'd be back home in SC. LOL
  15. More than a little windy??? Thats like saying KC Chiefs is more than a little bad. ROFL
  16. The long ripraps is where Ive caught them this year
  17. KDWPT just released that Wyco has been confirmed for Zebra Mussels.
  18. How would ya'll think a Sickle Hook would do on a Ned? Do you think the slight downward point would have a hard time hooking up?
  19. I know what you are thinking Drew. Good luck, if you get one and start pouring, let me know.
  20. El Dorado has Bass?!?!!?!?! :eyebrows:
  21. Don't have a Mojo, but I got a Pescador 12 and a Commander 120. Trolleys are a great tool. I'm going to be putting one on my C120 this winter probably. Took one off the Pescador cause normally I'd just put myself up on some slop and that would keep me put in wind. But fishing for Smallmouths more, I'm out in the open, exposed a bit. Another thing I'd recommend is some Silent Traction System from Harmony. Doesn't keep every bump completely silent, but does a good job in muffling it a good bit. I have some on the floor of my C120, and the gunnels for resting my paddle on. LOVE IT!!!!
  22. Milfird, Ive been once. Didnt do good. Wilson Ive done a cabin trip. Faired decently well. Good luck and WEAR HER OUT this time.
  23. 4 record fish I think you would have to call them and let them know that you have 1 and then they might let you keep water in your livewell
  24. I'll give these Outkast Jigs a toss, let ya'll know what I think. Wonder if the KDWPT would listen to an angler about putting a new species in a couple lakes that it should thrive in? Hmmmmmm Polk Daniel, and Cowley County has some nice rock and fairly clean/clear water, Smallmouth's should thrive in it. (Clarity is like Pot #2 if not better) Plus they are within a hr drive for me!!!!!
