  1. NICE!!! Thanks for all the offers guys. Never really had luck on Hartwell, except down near Foxwood hills bank fishing. Fished with a friend out by the old Westpoint Stevens plant in Clemson one time. Didn't do so good. I have dove Keowee, and would love to fish it.
  2. What's a Topo Map? Many of the lakes I fish are small, maps isn't available. Still man made, still have creek channels. Just have to find them. Countless times of fishing it, you'll find out where things are. I'm a cover fisherman. Not so much a structure fisherman.
  3. I opted for the 6' ParkNPole from YakAttack. Both are great products. I made a pvc stake out pole, but found it wasnt as effective as the ParkNPole.
  4. Rail systems like the YakAttack Gear Track actually seals itself fairly well. The pilot holes are drilled smaller than the hardware. So it pretty much has a tight seal. I've never had a issue with leaking.
  5. I have a Pescador too. Its a SOLID platform. You will love it. Fish it first, before you start going crazy with riggings. I have rigged 2 fully before I realized that I didnt necessarily NEED some of it. A new world will be open soon. Remember to always wear your PFD. Safety should always be kept in mind.
  6. Awesome!!! I got family in Anderson. As well as I lived out on 81 for a bit.
  7. Waiting on seller to get back with me. Specs.. 93 Tracker Tourney TX17 replacement from Tracker Marine on a 88 hull warranty. 88 Mercury Classic 50, fires every time. One owner. All manuals, motor cover. Motorguide Bill Dance TM. Only thing dont work is radio. Owners said 2 others were aldo interested. IDK who was first. I agreed to purchased as long as all the info they told me was true, and pending a test drive. Waiting game...
  8. flyfisher is a wise one. Congrats on the yak. And on getting some slime on it the first trip out. I have mounted transducers using Duct Seal Compound inside the hull, and I have mounted a transducer using the Deployment Arm from Harmony. Water temps will be affected more with the ductseal compound inside the hull. But readings were spot on for structure, depth, and cover.
  9. Tough luck Wachati. I hope its nothing major
  10. Oh. And i fished with retro yesterday, drove 2hrs back to Wichita, then worked all night. Pmed blue all night about boats. Lol
  11. Dropping barometer due to the frontal system. Great time to fish!!
  12. I work 10-6am3rd and them fish all day after work. And I have to paddle my way around lakes. Lol
  13. Oh yea. And he was without headwear.
  14. Well my new lucky had pulled it off today. 2 keeper fish. 1 smallie and 1 mossyback on a tough day and when the guy driving the boat skunked it up.
  15. Now THAT should have some mojo.
  16. Lucky fishing hat that is. You know the one. Worn, battered, stained, sunbleached, smells. Yep. Im retiring my GLoomis ballcap. Its had a lot of mojo and has served me well. My new one will help me step up my game. Costa Trucker Hat. Time to get some slime on it!!!! Whats your lucky hat? I know a guy that fishes in a mid 80s ZOOM bait company hat. Looks like something Hank Parker wore in his tournament days.
  17. Might be able to take my kayaks and gear afterall. *fingerscrossed*
  18. Lol. Its a little town nessled in between Lake Hartwell, Keowee and not far from Jocassee.
  19. I was tossing "The Rig" on straight braid at a lake with 10+ feet of clairity. Didnt seem to hurt the bite. But then again, They were gorging themselves.
  20. Lol. I showed the wife a new Tracker 160 on their site. She said "THAT AINT CHEAP". LOL More than likely, it will be used. Im liking the Trackers, but have found the Lowe might be a good option too. Ive found plenty that have the remarks "Ran great, been sitting a while and now I cant get it running" ads.
  21. Oh I got something better than a Ned, Blue. me and retro gonna put a hurtin' on that lake!!!!
  22. But if you run heavy enough braid, most of the time. You can straighten the hook and pull it free.
  23. Thanks for the replies. Wifes van has a aftermarket hitch. But I dont know about pulling a boat with it. There are other things that take priority. But I do see myself purchasing a boat. I love the simplicity and ease of just tossing the yak on my car and going, but theres the freedom of a boat that could open a whole new world. d**n hobbies are so expensive. Lol
  24. Man, a bass boat would be sweet!!!! Ever since I was young, Ive wanted a Bass Tracker. Maybe it was watching Bill Dance growing up. And having time fishing out if the back of one, makes me long for the freedom of walking and moving on deck. There are things in my way of realizing this dream. Like hsving a vehicle that can toe it. Wife has an Honda Odyssey and Im blessed with a WRX Wagon. Next is I know NOTHING about maintenance or anything. Anyone have any good sources to read that is in depth with boat ownership?
