  1. Are there Zebra Mussels in the water you fish? Those things can shred braid. Slightest little nick and a lighter braid will snap like sewing thread.
  2. Just dont wear her shirts 00mod. Lol I DO NOT wanna see a pic of you holding a toad wearing a pink camisole.
  3. Must not be married. HAHAHA Under this roof, her money is hers and my money is ours.
  4. For purchases? In the past 3 days, Ive bought a Powell Max Spinning Rod, Lews Super Duty, Lews Tourney Pro and a Avid AVC66MF. Granted, Ive sold some stuff, including my GLoomis Mossy BSR852. But she still isnt pleased. Lol
  5. Psst. Im looking to sell my Mossyback BSR852.
  6. My secret/tip...... Enjoy your time on the water. The second you stop having fun, it becomes work.
  7. I use a Mossyback BSR852. Very nice rod, and can whip a senko or Ika a mile!
  8. Ive been bulking since I was 15.
  9. I would at the PiranahMAX 170 to your list. (Or whatever HB has changed the model to). I had obe on my kayak and found it was a great asset. You could get a transducer Deployment Arm from Harmony or RAM mount
  10. Get the best reel you can afford. ARigs and big swimbaits put a hurting on equipment. Think of towing a boat with a vehicle. You wanna tow with a Mini Cooper or a Super Duty F350? I toss my bigger baits with a Diawa Advantage HSTA. I throw nothing over 1.75oz and its a chore for that reel. Round reels will be better IMO. Cardiffs, Calcutta, Luna. Atleast 200 size for holding good quantity of bigger line.
  11. Dont remember reading it, but my experience for Koppers frogs, i work the frog with a high rod tip. Bass explodes, I drop the tip, reel the slack and swing for the fences. The backside of my index finger has been rubbed raw from digging out the double hook when they eat the thing. A good scent/attractant will give you another second the fish holds on to it.
  12. Chevy vs Ford vs Dodge I can see this getting heated. I have HB. I chose HB cause I wanted both DI and 2D. And when I purchased, they were the only one that offered. Since then, I bought my boat that had a 937c on the bow and I moved my 346c DI to the console ftom my kayak mount. Not top of the line graphs, but for my level of knowledge, Im comfortable using them.
  13. Hair jigs, little pop Rs, smaller spinnerbaits, 1/4-3/8oz. Heck even the 3/16 Booyah Pond Magics. I know a guy that kills Shenandoah River smallies with Manns Minus1s in West Virginia.
  14. Rock, Many if the upper echelon of fishing kayaks are made for standing. If 230-240lb man can stand and fish in a C120, so can you. Lol One good thing is the open area in front. I rarely used holders. Laying them in front kept them accessible and the nerf balls I used on the twart bar kept them untangled. Dont forget a quality paddle is just as important as a quality yak.
  15. You and Clayton rent a canoe?Im keeping one of my yaks so I still can fish the Elk and other inaccessible areas.
  16. Im selling my Commander 120, rock. Pm me. When you come up this way, Ill even let ya try before you buy.
  17. I hear you about having an affair with sleep. I dont get alot during the week working 3rd. So Im not too hard on myself if I over sleep a planned trip. Makes up for majority of my spur of the moment trips
  18. Took my son Cammy (He is on the Autism Spectrum) to the local pond. He had a blast with his Cars Fishing Pole.
  19. Got the wife out. After I worked all night and her working a 12hr shift. Lol Still learning position, launching and retrieving. Top water blow up on a 7" Slammer. Oh yea!!!
  20. Butler SFL had 70 degree water too. Looks like spring was on fast forward
  21. Got SS Stinky Fingers out. Had a issue replacing bunks. Forgot the right socket, borrowed it, Lag bolts I got was too big for the bracket. FML Windy as all get out, Sinced I fixed the TM bearing its way too easy to move, torque steer horrid. Between wife and I 3 bass, 1 crappie in a couple hours. But she was a champ. Even when ai tried to start it when we was leaving, and it wouldnt start, flooded it and then realized my boy took off the killswitch lanyard. :ohwell: Strong cross winds made putting it on the trailer tense, but got it first try. Gonna look into Ultimate Bunk Boards. With the depth I can back in, pushing off on dry carpet was horrid. Definately would like to get out Troll Perfect to help with keeping motor on target. Recessed TM tray and maybe a butt seat to lean on. (IM OLD!!!)
  22. Already loaded her down with gear. Took up some spots on the carpet, little maint I wanna do and then slime her up.
  23. The original starting battery is OLD. XPS battery that isnt even in BPS system anymore. Lol.
  24. FF, I was looking at single jet ski trailers. Just seems more solid to me.
