  1. Luckily, my wife had a hystorectomy, so I don't have to worry about Shark Week.
  2. Got out to my nemesis lake today, I pitched a Black and Blue Siebert 1st Gen JFrancho jig to every piece of shoreline wood I could find. I did manage one. Lake was Chocolate Milk from all the rain we have been getting, overflowing, blown out pretty much. Back closer to the creek the water color was more like BBQ Sauce!!! I'm sure I wasn't out in the best conditions, hopefully the rain will ease up and let the lakes regain it's clairity.
  3. Go to the KDWPT site for current reports for the lakes. You can get directions, creel limits, lake levels, and other info
  4. With the rain weve been getting, Cheney should be filling. Walleye, Hybrids. Bank fishing, Kingman SFL has alot of shoreline. It was renovated last year, so small bass and crappie are most abundant. North of Wichita is McPherson SFL. Arguably the best LMB lake in KS. 46 acres in size. South near Arkansas City is Cowley County SFL. Its slowly been coming around. Butler SFL (my nemesis) is east of Wichita. Probably in the top 5 of SFLs.
  5. I'm ordering a set of these tonight actually. I think I'll still keep my carpeted guide ons though.
  6. Next time you run the Carb Cleaner through, make sure you point the outboard toward your wifes car. I would agree with others, seems like soot and gunk being cleaned out. Bet your motor runs alittle better.
  7. I got to have a day at my friends lease. Didn't keep count for numbera. There were alot. Largest I managed was 16.5. Rollin got 3 18" fish. I stuck with a 7" Slammer and a Swimjig all day. I think he was wielding a Horny Toad. That lake is getting choked with Milfoil, and Coontail. Add thick pads around the edges. Almost all you can toss is weedless topwater.
  8. Nice to see that log is working for ya!
  9. I think I've PURCHASED 2 stickers in my life. The SC Palmetto Tree, and KBF Bass. All the other stickers I have recieved has been from purchasing things. Tackle Warehouse, Spend 50 bucks. Aquabound, I bought a paddle (2 actually). Wilderness Systems, From Chad Hoover. Hook1, From Chris Stewart at Hook1. Stickers do cost money to make. Believe me, I make them for a living. Next time you look at your Coleman cooler, your kid picks up a Smilemakers sticker at the Dr or Dentist, or your nurse gives you a injection from a Ampul, Me, and my coworkers made that. Go to some events put on by BASS or Heros on the Water, or anybody really. I'm sure there will be retailers there with some stickers. Those are the places that people get sold on products. They talk to the reps, to the makers, to the owners. Get some insight into their product, and even buys a couple.
  10. I got a SC Palmetto Tree/Crecent Sticker, and a Tottenham Hotspur sticker on the back glass of my truck. A smaller Palmetto Tree/Crecent on my boat windshield. Will be adding a Autism Awareness to both soon. That's it. I use to be a sticker wh*re, my kayak is littered with them (well not my kayak anymore), even the back glass of my WRX had a Wilderness Systems, Aquabound, Hook1, KBF. Now I'm not big into them.
  11. Anytime my boat is in water, I'm at the bow, and a loved one is at the stern. THAT is a good day, my friend. As much as I love to catch fish, I've had just as much fun, if not more, getting skunked with my boy (or wife) than catching 15 fish alone.
  12. The boat is obviously a defect, I'll be by in the morning to pick it up.
  13. That might be 44 RUSSIAN pounds. Lol, not 44 US lbs. Nice fish, Putin.
  14. Welcome, Come over to the Central US Forums, there are quite the many Kansas anglers there. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/41660-for-us-kc-area-guys-fishing-reports/
  15. Just cause he's off to college dont mean you stop being a Dad or stop seeing him. You will just have more phone time. Fish a little more or pick up another hobby.
  16. I paid 40 bucks for a leakdown on my Mercury 50hp 2stroke.
  17. Took the Scrogglet out to Butler SFL. He whooped me, 6-2. Lake was Chocolate Milk!! Tried Chartreuse Squarebill, Frog over the slop, Slitshot rig with a Junebug Lizard, Nada. Couple bites on a TRigged Baby Brushhog. Got both mine on a Siebert Outdoors OOmod Swimjig. Xans came on Neds, and Fat Albert. Still yet to really dial in that lake. Oh yea.... pic of the rig....
  18. Let me know if I need to take shelter, Sam. We got some lakes that could use the rain here. Seriously, I hope it misses the South a bit. I know Lake Hartwell (from speaking with my Dad) was like 4ft over flood stage. Little place he bank fishes is up over the road. (Down near Choestoea Ramp near Foxwood Hills) Hope all can pull through this with minimal impact.
  19. Craww, cans of tuna is cheap. Staple in bodybuilding. Oldtimer at the gym says, "6 cans of tuna at 6am". Ive seen my old lifting partner just pop a can and pour in his mouth.
  20. Man alive.... Since urine is sterile, then you wouldnt get mad and upset if I ticked all over your feet when I use the urinal next to you. After all, no germs or bacteria.
  21. Ive always found its the people that make the job. Ive had 2 long stints of employment. Westpoint Stevens (cotton mill) and Staples Print Solutions (Formerly Corporate Express Document and Print Management) I love the people, so the job aint that bad. For you FF, my wife was the same way as you. Benefits Administrator for Accenture. Just got to the point where she hated everything about it. We discussed it, and she quit. Went to school and got her RN. Loans, Grants and my wages paid for it. We had to downsize for a little bit. But now she makes more than me, shes a pediatric RN at the hospital, chemotherapy certified. She adores her job. Yes we have a good bit in student loans, but her happiness is more important to the family. "When Mama happy, everyone is happy". We all can sit here and offer advice, but in reality only you and your wife knows what the change will do to impact things. Whatever you do, make sure you 100% commited and supported by your loved ones.
  22. Thanks John, thats one reason I went with this set up. Cost! Or lack there of.
  23. Finally got a chance to do some work on my Stinger 170. Wanted some Bow Deck Rod Straps. After some research, I found that I already had the junk laying around from previous kayak riggings. Supplies: 2 x 12" Sections of Bungee ( I used Red, cause it's what I have, and I think it actually looks good with the red seat backs. BONUS!) 2 Bungee Ends (Single Screw Bungee End) 2 Bungee Hooks 2 Pad Eyes 6 10x3/4 Stainless Steel Oval Head Sheet Metal Screws I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
  24. As far as the Private Community lakes that was mentioned, I fish quite a bit of them, When I'm done, I walk around and pick up all the trash, debris and such to clean up the lake. I have NEVER been confronted or asked not to fish in those. If I did, I would explain to them that yes, I do fish the lakes, I do release all fish unscathed, and when I was done, I pick up the majority of the trash to help keep their pond/lake clean and healthy. If they still insist that I don't fish, then I stop going. You have to understand that some people are ********, it's just in their nature, but if you are sincere, polite, and respectful, they just might look the other way.
  25. Nice info, I'll be sure to double check the threading.
