  1. Im a novice FF. And I backed my boat up a incline at a angle to not scrape, and still made it to the spot with 2 tries. Not bad for a newbie. Hand at the bottom of the steering wheel helps backing up. Turn it which way you want the trailer to go
  2. If anything, i guess Id have a killer starting battery since its still got original starting still in it. Lol
  3. Once again, previous owner.... anger!!!! Battery hooked up to trolling motor is a Optima Blue top 34M.... a starting battery. NOT a D34M Deep Cycle. Whats my options... use it or replace it?
  4. The water will drain out the transom right? Sorry my nOObness is showing
  5. I borrow the wifes broomstick, and get some clothes line cable. By the end of the day I look like Popeye.
  6. Thanks Bob. I used Orange Degreaser for the lining of the compartment. But how can I get what drained down?
  7. So, Im learning that the previous owner isn't the brightest. He put wheel bearing grease in one of the back storage areas, and the grease/oil leaked. As you know there is a drain in there. So, what can I do to clean it out?? Also, he has a bow HB 937c. Wires are ran along the starboard side against the edge. All the way to the battery. How can I clean this up? To fuse panel under the console?
  8. You digging in my tackle box Curt?
  9. Lol!!!! Nice one Sizzle!! Chris didn't rub on your leg did he?
  10. I heard that John. Thought has crossed my mind.
  11. Thanks. Drew, heck yea! Atleast one kayak will be sold.
  12. Ask and you shall recieve. Little elbow grease will get that storage hue off.
  13. Looks like the kids are okay with it. ;-)
  14. Unless its not public water, then I could toss a double Bama Rig with 10 hooks!!!!!! Lol Oh yea... I bought a boat.
  15. Funny, a friend said the same about my wife. :-P Thanks. I look forward to the good times
  16. Deal has been struck. Waiting on financials to get its stuff straight. Some minor issues were found. But leakdown came out @ 15% across all cylinders. Bilge was stone dry. And it turned good RPM and MPH with 2 grown men. And seller's gear. Elbow grease to bring it back from heavy storage and some maint. There shall be fish slime on it soon.
  17. I used a split shot 6-8" up the line and fished a EWG hook with a Zoom curly tail. Pumpkin w/ chartreuse tail. Toss it, slowly drag, wiggle shake. Up over limbs, rocks and laydowns.
  18. Leak down, inspection, test drive. The target... 2006 Lowe Stinger 170. 50hp Mercury 2 Stroke. If all goes well, it will be in my garage tomorrow afternoon.
  19. As a bank fisherman, turned kayak fisherman, turned Im buying my first bass boat Monday I hope fisherman. NOTHING will beat a bass boat. But if you cant afford one and the expenses like Hannover mentioned, then look into Float tubes, Kayaks, and canoes. Cheaper options that have hardly any maintenance. Then start saving for a bass boat if you want. Some ppl love kayaks and never feel the need to change. Some , like me, craves more. Wants to have the bass boat for big reservoirs and for the family to enjoy. Only you and your situation dictates your route.
  20. I picked up SPRO McSticks @ hallf price in the bargin cave of Cabelas. They had tons of Rapala and SPRO
  21. Cabelas had McStiks in the bargin cave. Half price.
  22. Nice. Where is that lake at?
