  10. I try the tubes and I pull my first smallies nothing big but was a catch, good luck on that. Now... I have a friend who fish a lot the river and he say that he always have a good luck with the rooster tail, try that lure and see if that put you first big-smallie. Not sure how that lure will work the area with lot of grass but on the rapids let the water do the work.
  11. In the area that I live, the builder was the owner of the land until they finish - completed the construction and after that was pass to the community and managed by the " hoa" it may be the same in you area.
  12. VA,MD and some place in El Salvador Central A.
  13. The chart didn't came up good, they have: canoe with widht of 35" or under and a person with height of 5'5" to 5'11" the paddle length should be 260 cm canoe with widht of 35" + and a person with height of 5'5" to 5'11" the paddle length should be 280 cm Person 6+ height the paddle should be 280 cm for canoe of 35" or 35+ Person under 5'5" they recommended 260 cm
  14. Thanks to Bluegiller, I found a great information on solo canoe paddle... here it is the chart: Solo paddles let you get out on the water by yourself. Like a long kayak paddle, these paddles have a single shaft with dual blades to eliminate corrective strokes – a huge help in windy conditions or when keeping up with fast tandems. Make sure the paddle and grip are both comfortable and efficient for your use, as there’s only one person doing the work here. Solo Canoe Paddle Sizing Chart Canoe Width Under 35" 35" + Paddler Height Recommended Paddle Length Under 5'5" 260 cm Not Likely 5'5" - 5'11" 260 cm 280 cm 6'+ 280 cm 280 cm
  15. Sound like this will resolve the problem, the kayak paddle in most places only go to 240 and I have now 220 to 230. I need to find a paddle for canoe and that looks a great option. Thanks for the information.
  16. This is the key for my area I take a good 10 minutes stand still and paid attention to the water and see the bait running around if still any and choose from there the best option on lures that I have in my back pack, for me top-water lures work the best for fall and any plastic lure my second option... but most of my fishing is in creeks and ponds. The big rivers I'm still learning my way.
  17. If I know for sure that is a potential catch ( fish ) under that cover, cut the line will be best option but not guarantee that I will catch the fish anyway... IF not I will pull hard and very very very important I will cover my face if the line don't give up you have a chance to have " flying lure " looking for landing spot in some part of the body. For me 80% of the time pull hard and " run " is my option.
  18. Y try my good luck yesterday at fountainhead park with the canoe ( after work ) for the sunset. I was only able to land one fish LMB under 3# I was more to try a double blade paddle for the canoe for solo trips but have some pull was nice, have fun guys and good luck.
  19. Thanks Darren, I will try that, for now in summertime is not the bigger problem but for around winter I know will be an issue. thanks again.
  20. question... I need some help here guys, I'm in the way to add a double paddle blade for my canoe... actually I have one for solo trips, but the day that I try the paddle for some reason was some water dripping inside the canoe, from the blade in the air at the time of the stroke. The BIG question... is the water dripping inside of the canoe because I have a short paddle or is a normal way with the use of the double blade, for you guys in the kayak the water dripping form the blade by any chance goes in the kayak ?... I need your help guys, do I need a bigger paddle ?....is this a normal routine with the water dripping ? thank you guys, please let me know if I need to add more information to help Me.
