  1. Lead is just fine. I have some tungsten bullet weights that I use for t-rigging but I will not use them for punching. I want tungsten to transmit what is on the bottom when I am dragging or hopping a bait. Just my 2 cents.
  2. I don't consider classy coming to your finals celebration in a t-shirt with a picture of yourself on the front. That's classless IMO not to mention arrogant.

You'll be fine starting off with the frog. If the water is muddy then use a spitting frog. Another top water to use would be a spook. After the topwater bite quits then I would give the Jika rig a try. Or like stated above ^^^ a stick worm. An ocho or a senko style bait. You should have a good day.
  4. Oh they've seen them on a hard head but I'll bet ya a Ben Franklin not many have seen the Biffle Bug on a Jika rig!
  5. Man that's shady. I guess since you think the price is to high, you get to do what you want.
  6. Nice Larry! Gotta love the frog bite man!
  7. Columbia and Under Armour have lines of clothing with protection. I think most of the stuff is at least 30 spf. In the picture on the link, I am on the left. Both the pants and shirt are UA. The pants have zippers on the legs where they turn into shorts. The gloves are Columbia. I also have a buff around my neck and when it get super hot, I'll use the frog togg towel like your dad. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/138859-eufala-lake-oklahoma/
  8. I pile it in as long as my airway isn't blocked!
  9. A picture is worth a thousand words!
  10. Slather a little megastrike all over the body and skirted legs. An extra second or two will work then set the hook. I believe when the bass doesn't absolutely choke the bait, it is crushing the frog before completely inhaling the frog. Just my 2 cents.
  11. I try to learn an new technique every year. At least new to me anyways. I don't ever do it on tournament days. I have found some that I have as new confidence baits I use during tournaments that sealed the deal yesterday for my partner and I in a local jackpot.
  12. An excellent tip. I have some old tungsten weights that have inserts I could do this with. I didn't like them due to the insert smacking my knot and weakening it. Thanks.
  13. Unfortunately this is the biggest problem. Someone to do the work and put in the time to have it blabbed to everyone and their dog..... No offense to the dogs!
  14. Thanks guys. I totally missed those when searching.
  15. Does anyone know where I could get some tungsten drop shot weights with a lager line tie eye? I make my own rigs and I can't seem to locate any.
  16. In my life it has come in spurts. To me it is an adventure that will never leave me now. In my younger years it was all about how big. Now it's about control, alt, delete, and REBOOT! It clears my mind and I enjoy being outdoors. More of a stop and smell the roses ya know?
  17. Good question! I almost never fish large bodies of water from shore. Where I do fish from shore and have caught them I don't share but I do however give the technique I used. I agree with bluebasser on his view from shore. If i fish large bodies of water, I'm at the boaters mercy where he goes. Yesterday I was invited to fish a jackpot. One which my partner and I won. This topic came up. He showed me some of his spots. He knows next year I'll be a boat owner. So I asked him when I do get a boat can I fish these spots? His reply was yes. All he asked is that I keep 2 specific spots to myself. I have always said to myself that wherever I go with a boater I will ask permission to fish any spot I've been shown out of respect of said fisherman. I just believe that is the way it should be. Now after I get a boat and find the certain spots myself I expect that common courtesy. I will however help someone out in need of assistance. A few have asked me about spots on Grand in a PM and I have helped to the best of my ability. Just my 2cents.
  18. I just placed my fourth order with him last night!
  19. Do some research on making your own. It is much cheaper.
  20. My partner and I had a good day. We won the Saturday jackpot with 9.66 On shallow rip rap in the morning and long deep points main lake. Square bill on rip rap and Jika rig on the points was the ticket.
  21. I out fished my partner today using the Jika rig while he used the C-rig. I'd give that a shot along with the C-rig.
  22. Sometimes when I hit a rut I'll bust out the ultralight and inline spinners. They catch any fish out there and chances are you'll have a good day catching some decent bass. We put a lot of pressure on ourselves to catch these little green fish on the "latest" lure or technique. Just take a deep breath and remember why you fish. Good luck!
  23. Google is an amazing site to find apparel.
