I recently bought a pack of Roboworms in ehrlers edge and Aaron's morning dawn. I was wondering how they would work on a shaky head in slightly stained water.

What didn't you like about the stx? I'm thinking about getting one so I'm just wondering.

That way to big for any lakes I fish. Am I the only one who thinks $15 is a little steep?

I have a lew tournamnet and I love it. I've heard the speed spool is worth the extra 20 over the laser mg but I haven't fished either but I'm sure there both fine reels.

I'm thinking about buying one for deep divers since it won't be used much but I've not heard much good from this rod. But at $50 I may try it.

I just bought a abu Garcia veritas winch and it feels great but haven't got to fish it yet. I've heard many good things about the powell diesel crankbait rod but it is a glass rod.

Y'all could just post up some of your newest or favorite tackle since you have so much.

Check out evercast lures.com. There jigs are 2.25 and they have many to choose from. There about all I use now.

Yes it is very good line I use 8 pound test for shaky heads and use the ploimar knot and also use reel magic line conditioner. I use braid and just use this line as a leader since I use it on my spinning reel and fluro and spinning reels don't always mix well.

I personally wouldn't buy the savvy series, I have one and its alright but the vertias is just as good or better for MUCH cheaper.

Other than the review above I'm the only person I know of that doesn't love my reel either. I feel its not smooth at all and casting is poor at best until you get up to lures past 1/2 ounce. Also I have owned many reels before this one both cheap and expensive. I may have a bad reel or just have bad taste but thats just my options on the reel.

Thanks for the help and I will defineltly take all this into consideration. But can anyone tell me how the senitivety of the champion compares to other rods? I have a savvy, vertias, and carrot stix. I know there much cheaper I just want to make sure it's much better than those.

I'm am looking to buy a rod for jigs and soft plastics. I am looking for something in the $150-250 range. The main rods I'm looking at is dobyns champion, duckett, and abu Garcia villain. I would be open to all suggestions though. I'm just having a hard time to decide without being able to fish any rods to feel how sensitive they are. I'm leaning more towards the dobyns but I have heard they are good but not worth $250.
