  1. Many of the actions that they go through are dealer only.
  2. Nitro summed it up pretty well. Just remember the bigger the boat generally the more stable it will be and if you putting a chair on the deck I would mount it kind of low so it's more stable. Also the deck is usually more stable if out in the back of the boat verses the front especially on a V hull.
  3. Has anyone used the bass pro shops excel mono filament line? I used berkley trilene forever but now that's its $8 for 300yds because of the "improved formula" I won't used it anymore. Anyways I use 6lb - 16lb test line and I fish some tournamnets so I need the line to be dependable and I've heard some mixed reviews about memory and breaking issues. Any information about excel line would be appreciated.
  4. Yeah don't worry much about the ultra light combos just buy a couple cheap ones. You didn't state your budget but the diawa arid rods are very nice $60 I think and also the abu Garcia vendetta is sweet at $80.
  5. I always just assumed its one of there smaller ones. It's not huge it my opinion but I haven't been to other bass pro so it may be huge compared to those.
  6. I am wanting to get a new gen 3 revo s for my veritas rod. How does this reel compare to the sx and the stx? I mostly want the s because it looks cool on my veritas but I currently have a gen 2 sx and stx I'm happy with them(other than the weight of these gen2 reels). Thanks
  7. Only fluro I've used is abrazx and I really like it but its kind of stretchy.
  8. I fish more around docks and cover so I like a 6'10" MH. If you're making long cast on long points you may want a 7'3". The MH action works good for 3/8 to 1/2 ounce baits.
  9. The Quaker state and lube across the street has the best wings if your looking for a good place to eat.
  10. I would also say you came out very well. Enjoy the new reel and baits.
  11. I live very close to that one and have been there many times. It's pretty decent, definitly worth the trip at least one time. Honestly it's not a huge store but they have way more stuff that gander mountain if you've ever been there. Never eat at the little restaurant there but I would imagine it not great.
  12. Brent long has a deal with them.
  13. So the light caught on fire? Also how's the carpet
  14. I know I just hate using it in tournaments. I think I'll keep strapping it for now. I was just talking to one of my friends with a Minnkota on his nitro and he said he's never strapped it.
  15. I have a Minnkota fortex trolling motor and I always use the strap on it. The guy at my boat dealership said the strap is only there if you if super rough water like on the Great Lakes. I just don't feel this is right so the question is when to strap? Also every ranger boat I've seen with a Minnkota has a little bar going from the top of the motor and the bottom of the bar sits on the carpet.(called a bow mount stabilizer) Mine does not have this and I think I should maybe get one because mine feels a little shaky.thanks
  16. I have the rod glove for casting rod and love them but, I need some for my spinning rods now. I've heard many rod covers aren't big enough to fit over the last guide so I'm wondering how these are? I have mostly dobyns and abu veritas rods if that matters.
  17. Thanks that what I needed. If anyone has another person I would like to know about it because unfortunatly these guys don't do spinning reels.
  18. I live in Denver, North Carolina(not far from Charlotte). I was wondering if anyone knew anyone around here that professionally cleaned reels? I may just send them to DVT but, I don't like paying for shipping and I need a fast turnaround because I only have a few reels and fish 12 months a year. Thanks
  19. Sweet. I live close to the one in concord so I'm already set.
  20. I usually order tackle warehouse but bass tackle depot doesn't have much of a selection but, they run sales quite often. They had a 25% off everything sale a couple weeks ago.
  21. I put it in the thin layer of skin next to the jaw like your buddy. Same with cull rings too. When I was a kid I would weigh them in the net and then subtract the weight of the net.
  22. I wouldn't try it on a very nice rod. I think it would probably dry the Eva out and try to take off the color. This is just my guess though.
  23. That's a nice video and a great knot everyone should know how to tie. The idea about the rods would be good because people are always looking for more information on a expensive piece of equipment like that before they buy it.
  24. Usually the 200 will get better mpg and it will definitly last longer because it won't be ran as hard.
