    Sexy Dawg during early mornings.
  2. I only want to kill them when they take my good baits. That's enough for me to go swim after them and strangle them!
  3. Twice 1 - While on the boat I closed the lid on the tip of one of my rods. 2 - Coming out of my canoe I fell into the water and snapped a brand new spinning rod right in the middle.
  4. Frogs and Bucktail Jigs.
  5. The act of fishing is truly an escape from all my worries. I can't agree with you more. I say the "act" because there are times when just being out there is good enough. Focusing on the fishing makes everything go away for a little bit. I don't even have to catch them sometimes if that makes sense.
  6. Hell yeah! Those sticks rock!

Absolutely not. My favorite topwater spook I only see in the Saltwater Model. I simply replace the trebles with some nice Mustads.
  8. Black/Red Junebug
  9. I have actually used this to catch some decent bass last season. If they don't bite the topwater I let it sink to the bottom and slowly begin swimming it back to me. Vicious strikes!
  10. For me it was an easy decision. I needed something that I could drag around on top of my little Kia. The 115x gave me everything I wanted, and then some in a little package.
  11. Another vote for the rod. Sensitivity and the ability to impart action is mostly rod based for me. Hard to judge because it is a system. Especially when you add the line to the equation. This is like the "Golf ball" vs "the clubs" debate. If you suck at golf it doesn't matter.
  12. To me it's a little bit of both ... I primarily use Strike King 1.5's so my suggestions reference their colors. Clear Water - Yellow Perch, Bluegill, Green Gizzard Shad, Chrome blue or black Stained - Chartreuse Perch, Chartreuse Baitfish, Neon Bluegill, Gold/Black back, sexy shad Muddy - Chartreuse/Black back, Firetiger Early spring and late fall Perch colors seem to be more dominant. Any other time of the year you can't go wrong with bluegill, whites, chrome or gold. Hope this helps.
  13. The new Rage Blade in Bluegill with a Green Pumpkin Magic fluke just plain suck I tell you, just suck!
  14. Confidence ... I have two baits which are my go-to each time I go out fishing. 1 - Keitech swimbait 2 - Finesse worm on a mojo rig Depending on my mood I begin with one of those two and try to cover the water from top to bottom. If they don't bite on either then I begin messing around with other lures and soft plastics. Crankbaits, topwater etc. Again trying to cover the water columns. By the way your thoughts on them not hitting a creature if they are not hitting a worm is a bad way to look at it. They might not be in the mood for a worm but might be for a craw. Each plastic presents something different to them. So does the color. There in lies the adventure. Good luck.
  15. I was so excited about these things. I bought a few and had the same issues. Never again!
  16. When I walk the dog from the bank I use the same setup I use from the boat. A 6'6" MH F tip rod. Instead of twitching it using downward strokes I twitch it overhead. As the bait gets closer I lower my rod tip until at the very end it is pointed more towards the ground. Hope this helps.

Congrats ... I remember my 1st bass 2 years ago! Here's to many, many more!
  18. Not quite ... the advanced angler is the regular 115 with the new seat. Below is the link for the 115x. Biggest difference is the console in the middle. http://www.wildernesssystems.com/pages/index/ride115x
  19. I bought the stuff for the anchor trolley kit just yesterday. Looking forward to putting it on when the rain stops.
  20. I have a 230. It works for me but longer might be a bit better. I am not an experienced kayaker so with more experience I will know for sure if the 240 would be preferable.
  21. Congrats buddy! This forum has been a huge help in my game too ... This is "Pay it forward" to the extreme!
  22. I used to be an avid golfer until I took up fishing. Haven't touched my clubs in 2 years now.
  23. I tend to use scents in the spring and in waters where they are highly pressured. In both those cases it's about anything to get one to bite. When they are in an aggressive mood there is no difference either way.
  24. Sure is ... I said those exact words when I saw it in the store waiting for me to take it home. LOL
