I have a north face solar armor hat in light kaki color. Has mesh venting along the sides, a chin strap for when I am heading out to my spot in the boat and spf protection. I love it. I even started wearing it to kids soccer games, and took it to Disney. Well worth the $25 or so I spent on it.

Thanks, don't know how I missed the link. With a slower retrieve rate (4.3:1 vs 5.1:1) and fewer bearings (7 vs 9), why is the arbors normally more than the president?

Came across a diawa megaforce bailcaster with a twiching bar. The bar apparently reels six inches. Any experience or thoughts on this?

Nothing in fishing dept at mine. No arbors at all. They had.the president on " ssle" for 60 which looks a lot like retail .

When talking offshore, what depth are you looking at if you don't mind me asking?

Caught a couple little guys from the bank. Nothing after it was real dark. Oh well. Hope you all had better luck.

Did some bank fishing for an hour and a half near the marina and only caught one little guy.

Here is all you need to do. Worked for me! Just got done fishing and caught 5 in an hour. I also realized what I kept thinking was sludge from the bottom, were actually fish. Love seeing the follow-up reviews. I just lost my shades in the ocean but I have had them since '96 so I can't complain. How do these fit on the face? My face is pretty narrow, for reference, my old shades were oakley jackets and they fit well, they were not polarized though as they were pre fishing days.

H2O rods from academy are also pretty nice from what I have read on here.

These responses are great guys. Hopefully they will lead to more fish. I know my "pick a spot and fish it for the day" needed a tweak, now have an idea how. Thanks! I especially like the ideas of using my confidence baits and then moving.

I justgot my first baitcaster. I like my berkley shock. It was easier than I expected thanks to Glenn's video which is stickied above. In fact just favorite his YouTube channel because he is great. Tight lines.

I bought a jon boat last year and wonder how long people fish a spot before moving. I have a tendency to hit an inlet and basically stay there for several hours, bites or no bites. I have a trolling motor but mostly use it at its slowest setting to keep me away from the bank. When do you all say enough and drop the motor and try another spot.

How do you tie the rapala to the spinnerbait?

Went out today, not much luck. Three finish. Water was high, but pretty clear actually. That is with the rain we have had. Most I think would call it stained with visibility around two feet on a white spinnerbait. I can't believe I haven't seen this thread before. Would love to out with one of you all some time.

I am new to this, but assuming ml is medium light, why use that instead of something heavier? Because the hook is exposed so less force needed to set it? Does depth matter?
