  1. ha i just posted this in the central section. heck yea though huge bass, but dang 294 boats of two man teams thats alot of fishers
  2. I had to sneak out sunday to the ole farm pond for about 2 hrs was itching to try out my new rod and reel, Abu S paired with Micro Magic. Tossed some jerk baits, red eye shad, jig, crank baits, and scrounger jig. all rubbed with a little megastrike. Nothing to exciting, had one little nibble, but the pond i fished my old man had recently dug it out and re-shaped it so lots of bare banks which meant chocolate milk colored water. But hey i still got to go fishing
  3. The matter of one weekend, well that and the difference of 294 boats, with team anglers vs the 53 in the classic. 12.28 giant bass! But dang 294 boats thats a ton of traffic, with that many on the water fishing hard though. I didnt realize that many people would be fishing a tournament like that i bet thats some tough competition on that trail.
  4. Been to el salto many a time, what camp u staying at? We usually stayed at Ron Speed, Lupe is great camp manager his morning singing as a wake up call to start the day is classic. ha Have you gotten a chance to go to Baccarac?
  5. Well he got his new rod, nothing on the list ha, after trying the others he picked up an Abu Vendetta and decided he liked it best. I decided if he liked it probably really can't go wrong with a rod he picked out on his own.
  6. Missed out on the bomber deal, got to my bps to late, they were cleaned out.
  7. This is a genius idea, may have to try it, maybe try some Links as well!
  8. I'm starting to pick up a few of the Red Eye Shads, but that old Chrome and Blue is my favorite Rat-L-Trap.
  9. One of my fav go to lures good stuff.
  10. I usually get distracted and forget to eat honestly, more so if im catching them. "No time to eat must cast..." I really dont like to take alot of stuff also helps avoid "uh oh gotta go #2 out in the middle of no where" which i live in fear will happen to me one day haha. which means it will Probably be some time this year during one of my weekend series tourneys. ha! I prefer to eat something lite before going out for a long day. If i do take something i'll keep it simple, Jerky, bag of chips and some kind of energy drink like 5 hour, and maybe a couple of Diet Dews or water. Just enough to put something in the tank so i'm not starving and get distracted by hunger while fishing.
  11. This will be my first season to fish the BFL and BWS... i hope i get a reason to don a fishing jersey
  12. i'd sleep in one if i was sponsored! haha
  13. I took the PQ lunge myself, on sale for $80 + the reel trade in program, hard to ignore.
  14. I may try one of these to get the good ole "clacking sound working as well" http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Carolina-Shortcut-Rig/product/15792/ http://www.basspro.com/Strike-King-EZ-Rigs/product/103467/?cmCat=CROSSSELL_PRODUCT
  15. They work, but its hard for me to fish sooooooooooo slooooooooooooooooooow. so it falls into the last resort category for myself. But all the time you waste fishing other baits you probably could have boated some fish on the ole C-Rig. I have always been told when you cant get a bite on anything else, go to the old C-Rig. And on the note, i think i'll add a Carolina Keeper (for quick C-Rigging Action) to my arsenal for my upcoming Grand Lake Tourney next month, you never know!
  16. Nice thank you for the suggestions ill pass them to my buddy and let him decide, I'll report back on the path he takes this Friday.
  17. I wanted to go that last sunday, but the wife and baby were wore out after a hard day friday, plus after i heard people were getting turned away on saturday I knew it would be more than they could handle. Friday was a perfect day to go though. @gripnrip i wanted to go sunday just for the fact that i knew more pros would probably be around to snag pics with that weren't fishing. @Jell0b0y man i say do it, as a fan its something you got to experience at least one time.
  18. HAHA.... "Dear diary you'll never guess who i met ..." I am never this lucky at meeting people but seems like we were just in the right place at the right time for some of the ones we came across. I'll say one thing I'am glad I am a fisherman and glad to be able to say people like them represent our sport, non of them ever seemed put off or oh gawd another fan... all were very happy to meet their fans and visit.
  19. Just ended up going to Bass Pro on Sunday, but look who i found hanging around! Timmy Horton! Very nice guy as well visited with us for a few mins and asked if we had made it to the classic any. It has been a great weekend!
  20. Ohhhh I know what happened Cliff thought he had to pay $500k since he won! He had two killer days can't argue with that, and was able to stay alive on the third. Hope the classic or more events come to Tulsa in the future loved having this in My backyard.
  21. Haha I know my wife and I are like does he even know he won?
  22. Man Pace get excitited brother you just won the biggest bass tourney and 1/2 a million!
  23. How much is the paid section and where do u purchase?
  24. Like the title says I'm not a spinning real guy but my buddy is, he's new to bass fishing as far as getting more in depth and all he has ever used was a spinner, based on reviews I suggested he go with the PQ spinning reel via reel trade in. So now we got the rod trade in coming soon, what would be a good rod to pair with this reel? Lets say keep it under a $100 before discount. Dang I just realized I posted this in tackle, can I get a move to rod section, thanks! Thanks!
