  1. I just picked some up via TW, i always tend to gravitate to the "top sellers" on that site and grab some try only because they were on the top sellers list, figured what the heck. Anyone want to share their favorite colors?
  2. Still loving my Tracker 175 new from BPS. bought in early March, Personally some of the perks BPS offers are hard to ignore. $500 Gift Card + 2 year VIP that gives you 20% off BPS stuff and 10% off non BPS items. I knew i liked to buy fishing lures and shop BPS. I heard the Tracker decks are wood though and I knew thats a turn off for some people, but I bet that helps shave off some of the price in stead of using aluminum deck. My boating career is still young though and have yet to need to test the customer service out. Best advice i got on the boat which i will pass along, if you can afford it, Max out the Motor and upgrade that Trolling motor to a 24 volt system, you will be glad you did!
  3. Saw mine inaction for the first time at night on Tuesday on my maxxum, and yes its very dim, just enough for you to see which way the arrow is pointing, better than nothing.
  4. This is what i need, love throwing spinnerbait during a tourney/jackpot hate wasting time to retie or if i want to change to something else. Color, size etc.
  5. I have had some since Jan of this year and love mine. Glad they are reasonably priced too.
  6. Now that would be pretty handy.
  7. Cool thank you for clearifying, i have the iphone app and if that is really all the extent that it is i cant see purchasing it. Like you said since the unit itself has the contour XD right now for me that should be plenty.
  8. I have a Huimminbird 798ci HD SI I been looking at the sites and i just cant understand what exactly i would be getting. If i buy the chip, is all it giving me is lake depths and contours? Does it have like hotspots marked? that would actully be useful? Is it even worth it? Just looking for some input, thanks!
  9. @Sam I am dying to find out the results of the worm pastes aka worms in a blender results. I need a reason to buy a blender just for liquefying worms! haha
  10. haha well we have florida stocked in some farm ponds, one thing i notice here in OK that i can catch the Northern bass easier when the water temp is still cool. seems like the Florida bass are tougher to get to bite when its colder until that water temp gets up and stays up and then they become much more active. But like above, they are stronger and get bigger but just a shorter life span.
  11. Florida Bass are supposed to be smarter as well that or better memory on being hooked. I think they can tend to be a little shy after you catch them once until a little time has passed.
  12. I threw my Flash Mob Jr on my regular setup, its not near as heavy as the normal Umbrella rigs.
  13. I can't offer to much insight, on the differences but it was because of price i went with Micro Magic, usually i keep my rods at the $100 range, but i really wanted to try a Duckett, and i really liked the "black" instead of the cork handles. But i went with the Micro Magic and it is now my favorite rod of my current bunch. Orange Carrot Stix Black Carrot Stix Wild Abu Veritas Carbonlite
  14. My number 1 combo is my Duckett Micro Magic paired with White Revo S killer combo.
  15. ha i just picked on up at walmart last night, i thought ohhhh shiney should be good for muddy water. and with it being smaller I can throw it on just about any rod i own.
  16. love topwater, if i see surface action at all im reaching for that topwater bait!
  17. Went out and did a little fishing Saturday for our first trip to Hudson, it was tough, we talked to just about everyone we saw sounds like the same all over though just a tough day on the lake. Anyone here fish Hudson much that could offer some tips on where to find them and what to throw? We finally found a few up north back in the river part off in the necks, pretty muddy, but other than that tough day. Any advice or tips would help out greatly!
  18. I I just got some of these to try on my A-Rig... killer idea to put it on the scrounger Jig Head. You using 3.5? or the 4.5? The 4.5 are pretty good sized.
  19. They catch fish i know that for sure! This has become my current go to bait for searching, since you can cover alot of water. I havnt been working mine very slow though, just chuck and reel at a medium pace. Been using the 1/4oz no skirt with fluke. Thanks for tip gripnrip!
  20. It's bad luck not to be superstitious.
  21. I used to fish minnows but now, I prefer artificial over live. Just something about thinking u out smarted that fish.
  22. Some pics from that last trip
  23. We went last Janurary, Biggest we caught was 6.5 a few other 6's and 5's, lots and i mean LOTS of 2-3 pounders. One morning cause there was 3 of us, so i was by myself that morning, from like 7:30-noon i boated 50 fish by myself on a sq. bill. in that 2-4 pound range. If you wanting BIG bass. Go to Baccrac. But it's harder/more expensive to get there. The Rooms are very comfortable, good AC, clean, nice atmosphere. I would bring my wife its nice enough. Food is excellent and always fresh! After a hard day of fishing its Nacho's and margaritas while you wait for dinner. Lupe is your singing alarm clock in the morning. lol He is a great people person he will make you feel like you have known him for years and will bend over backwards to make sure you are taken care of. They just havn't been catching the big ones out of El Salto like they did years ago, but the numbers are certainly there.
  24. Love El Salto, we usually stayed at Ron Speed's Camp, Lupe the camps manager will take great care of you! Been to Mexico many times over the last 15+ years, never have any problems, usually the people that are having problems their doing something they shouldn't have been in the first place if you know what i mean. Think about how many people die in big cities all over the US every week cause of gangs, violence etc. Its just he media playing up Mexico worse than what it really is. I have never felt that i was in danger or at risk while down there.
  25. haha good point, but i dont have the knowledge, experience, or time to run one. But as long as it didnt cross paths with my other trails, i'd love to fish one!
