  1. This is something i was thinking about putting on my boat as well. The 3 co-angler events i fished this year all 3 boats had them and all 3 guys said they loved theirs. The reviews i find seem to be mixed. So im still not 100% sure i want to pull the trigger on one. I'd love to put a shallow water anchor on my boat 12' Talon but thats 2k and i already have a nice FIsh Finder. From what i have gathered most have said they look at it as another tool to help slightly increase your odds. So yes please more Hydrowave owners and users please weigh in on the subject.
  2. Mine is a 2013 - 175. I'll try to grab some more pics next time im out.
  3. No prob! Glad they worked out for you. Did you end up having to use the universal mounting brackets on urs?
  4. My thoughts exactly since im fishing this evening.
  5. They bolt on to the trailer, right where the old straps hooked in. I needed the universal mounting kit cause mine didnt line up properly with out it. So u just have to see on ur trailer. If they dont line up out the box not end of the world, the universal mounting kit will get you where u need to be with three mounting options at 8.99 Still worth it even if you need this.
  6. Been using Bass Pro XPS and recently tried Seaguar Invizx loving both giving the edge to Seagaur as of right now. First i think my main problem after researching when i wasn't digging Fluoro much was because i was using the polymar knot which is not good for Fluoro. Made the switch to the "Jimmy Houston Knot" (Don't quote me on this but i think it's also called the "no name knot" that shaw grsgby uses, anyone confirm?) which is good for braid and Fluoro and it has ended my breakage issues at the knot. And of course some KVD Line & Lure spray is a must!
  7. Braid is no bueno for me when it comes to bouncing something on a rocky bottom. Fluoro on the other hand seems to handle well on rocky bottom.
  8. No, but there is a stainless steel model, and i have only seen it on basspro website. which or course its more. Havnt seen the SS on TW.
  9. Just wanted to chime in on these things, got them installed had to buy the universal mounting bracket for my Tracker Trailer. They are great! Makes getting in and out of the water that much faster. They are always on your trailer ready to go. The first time I used these i thought what took me so long to get them. Best Deal I found just as a heads up. $68 on TW but waited until they had one of their 15% sales so snagged them even cheaper.
  10. I recently jumped on the shakey head band wagon and have had good luck with spot removers, There pretty basic (looks like standard round head but just flat on the top side.) and i can find them just about anywhere that stock fishing supplies. I'm sure there are others that will stand up better, will try to branch out and try others.
  11. Booyah and War Eagles - Get 5 quick finesse model. (Haven't got 5 quick yet! HA but have caught some good size bass on them.) I wish the War Eagles had red eyes on them, but seems like the bass dont care that they do or dont. guess i could nail polish a red eye on them. Just seems funny when the norm seems like most have a detailed jig head on the spinnerbait and the war eagle is as plain as you could get.
  12. I have heard the Pit Boss makes a good pair with it too. But i 2nd the "Only limit is your imagination" sometimes you just need to throw something they havnt seen.
  13. Good news is when I picked up my reel since the repair said he couldn't fix it. No charge! He just moved the bearing back into place. Reel feels great and if it happens again ill just take it back to bps. They all cant be perfect and even after my hiccup I still agree its a very good reel for the price and a steal when they are on sale.
  14. I pick it up today. So i'll see how it lasts. I have had good luck with BPS reels in the past. Agree they all cant be perfect things happen, if this problem keeps on i'll just go trade it back in.
  15. Yea i was having trouble hearing him over the phone but in short thats what i got. I'll pick it up tomorrow and get better details. Thats my plan keep using it see what happens if it happens again i'll take it back to BPS.
  16. OK been loving my BPS pro qualifier, got is on sale this year when it was $80. So for its been the best $80 reel ever. Fishing on Tuesday night and set the hook on my Flash Mob Jr and the handle got tight all of sudden. fished with it some more but just to much of a pain to fish with being tight when reeling in. Took it to a local repair store here was the diagnosis. A bearing was slipping that it moved close up to the handle and that's what made it tight. He said he was able to slide it back down but didnt know ho long that would last until it worked it way back up again. Other than that he didnt know what else to do. I know everyone sings the praises of the BPS PQ reel on this board and so far i had been one of them, so anyone else have an issue like this? Seems like maybe a spacer or something might be needed? Ideas? I haven't picked the reel up yet, but he told me how to fix it if it happens again. Am i asking to much of my reel to use it as my Flash mob Jr Reel maybe?
  17. Strike that you mount the adapter base to the deck and not the gunwale, Instructions some times are useful! Lol
  18. You got it pegged right the adapter screws into the wall with strap into the adapter. Feeling on my boat the gunwal feels about as thick as a sheet of aluminum. So I dont think its going to be a good idea to mount it to the wall. I saw reviews say people mounted it to trackers but didnt go into details
  19. Bought this to install realized not gonna be able to flush mount it to gunwal so got adapter and still think even if I did install screws will bust thru wall. Since it's not thick. Anyone have experiance installing this on an aluminum style boat? Might be returning.
  20. My old man uses All Star rods, and loves them for a cheap rod. With Falcon & G-Loomis being his favs.
  21. Its like the E3 of fishing!
  22. TrapperJ replied to JWOA's topic in Fishing Tackle
Been throwing the Flash Mob JR with a 7'6" MH rod with smaller 3" swimbaits with no problem. Really need to upgrade to a beefier rod though to throw the big boys. I keep seeing poeple like Jimmy houston and some others like to use one that is a little different in the middle of the rig. Like 4 whites and then one with white and a red or something just a little different to stand out.
  23. when i was looking i had a couple of people say the Z6 you will outgrow fast. save for a Z7 or go a different route. I agree on used stuff while you can save money just be smart and picky and get it inspected, you just never know what type of other peoples problems you have inherited.
  24. The one i got the $99, SS1H Model, it is currently my favorite reel, paired it with a 7' Medium Action Duckett. I will buy more Lew's reels when the time comes for sure! Sooooooo smooooooth.
  25. Congrats! But pics or it didn't happen! Ha
