  1. I recently invested in the pop x, but I plan to add a pop max and even a dog x when top water season gets closer.
  2. I love there regular micro rods, I too have been waiting to hear feedback on their cranking rods. I did buy a dirt cheap MH rick clunn rod at the dicks fire sale to try haven't used it yet though.
  3. Well actually the bottom is a thornwood as well. When I saw the few bagleys I got excited looking all over for a Balsa B. But no luck just the killer Bs. I'd say about 90% of the plastic tub was Thornwoods.
  4. Come across a tackle vendor that had tons of stuff and found a Balsa Tub. Recognized The bagley Killer B2 but never heard of the Thorn Wood Lures. The black/chart is actually a round bill. The others are square. How'd I do, they were all $5 each.
  5. Missed out on the a OG Rick Clunns, but the new RC2 I like so far. Have some of the Tak. LC and some new LC BDS I'm anxious to try.
  6. When i was looking at BPS there about $11 for the squarebill i thought ive spent more on worse things ha.
  7. I have a 7'6" MH carbonlite micro, and i know Carbonlites get alot of love on the board, but im just not crazy about it mine. Handled a Ghost rod yesterday and would easily pick the Ghost over the Carbonlite, if its between these two, warning though I am a Duckett fan first. I have 4 Micro Magics to be honest You just gotta pick them up and see for yourself everyone is different. But i dont think you could go wrong with either rod.
  8. not even gonna give it a chacne? or tried other colors and selling this one?
  9. Held one last night at BPS not bad at all. Would love to get a 6'6" for Jerk Bait. But doesnt look like the ghost comes that short 6'10" for MED action. have to go to regular Micro Magic. 7' rod im slapping the water from the back of my buddys boat.
  10. ok i talked myself into it, grabbed old standard black back and chart body square bill this weekend to give it a go this season. Keep myself under control didnt go nuts on purchasing a bunch, this one will have to gauge my curiosity.
  11. Just heard about them too they look way similar too Keitechs but do they catch like Keitechs, that is the real question. Here's a YouTube video
  12. LOL ok if thats an 11 pounder than i have caught numerous ones. He's gotta be trolling.. "ok all these guys get in the magazine with fish that i say no where near their weight, what happens if i send in a 5 pounder and say its an 11."
  13. Well i just put a hydrowave on my boat so i guess i should give this a try as well. I been holding off on trying one waiting for more reviews, but i may try a squarebill or a JerkBait... like i need any more of those right now. The battery is good for two years, and i dont think you can replace it.
  14. They taste like fish to me, the 1-2 pounds are just right any bigger and the meat is not near as good. Its been many a years since i have had one though but when i was younger i always begged my dad to keep a few.
  15. What weight do u like to use on the jig head?
  16. Nice good info here thank you! One lake that has a small, small mouth presence is very rocky But Eufaula produced our state record going out this weekend to do some scouting on some known small mouth areas. Do any of you just troll around until you see them on the graph? Like do u even bother to fish like say ur favorite spot even though the graph maybe didn't show much? When they say a school, like what's and average school population amount? Any good guesses?
  17. Got a few events on some lakes here in Oklahoma that have a good smallie population. Lake Eufuala, OK Just seeing how quickly you can load the boat when u find a school it seems like a good idea to target them. Only ever chased those big mouth bass, ha. Here is what I have recently learned. They like sunny days and they tend to be more hunters than there cousins. And that's about all. So any tips to get off on the right foot is appreciated. Thanks!
  18. Ok so don't need to worry about it so much then seems like something I'd use once then never bother with.
  19. Just come across this on a lowrance video, the LSS2 needs to be level with or lower than the 2d ducer. If this is the case, I may need to move my 2d since it's already close to the motor, to get my LSS2 below or slightly below, the 2D. Cause you also don't want the LSS2, to close to the motor as well.
  20. Going thru this right now with my HDS 9 Touch Mine is like the First Pic Wayne P posted with the 2D on the left Right now unless someone says other wise i plan to mount my LSS on the right side underneath the transom step, even with the 2D as long as the motor trim doesnt interfere.
  21. I heard speed traps are a good search lure, grabbed couple to try myself. To me looks like a rattle trap with ya squarebill
  22. Minn Kota man standing by, Maxxum on my bow. When it came to choosing after reading its a "chevy vs Ford" debate. I thought the Minn Kota looked better style wise to me.
  23. I think its a pretty cool idea when i saw it, but my first thought at seeing the iCAST video was especially the crankbait you will be moving it so fast anyways they will never notice the detail. What RW said, for me, just remember its not a magic lure, I have had one unreal moment with the A-Rig last year, for about 30+ mins i found a school and they were on, crushing my A-Rig every cast it was a strike or a fish. No monsters but solid 2 pounders that wanted to jerk the rod out of my hand, never felt a bite so ferocious. Other times for me its just been a typical lure that gets me a bite/fish now and then. That one moment has me hooked on throwing it and looking for "ride" again. Zona said it best though Mother Nature will condition her babies to understand that A-Rig, at one time people thought a spinnerbait would catch every bass in the lake. Enjoy the ride while it lasts.
  24. I've had good luck with the yum money heads
