  1. Wish Id have known about this a little sooner. Definatly more motivated now to get a 13+ lb bucketface
  2. Flukes, senkos, and Texas rigging worms is probably the cheapest and most versitile on shore fishing for the money that Ive done. All my biggest fish have been on BPS 10" ribbontails t-rigged. Every plastic I have, has a watermelon red to chose from somewhere. With these 3 you can get colors for every condition and change em easily, fish slow, fast, topwater, bottom ect ect. Sometimes I do ok with spinners on shore, but those 3 I get way more fish on. Hardly use hard lures outside of a boat. Research how to pick colors for the water clarity, color, and sun/overcast and go from there. Anyone can tell you their favorite colors, but it doesnt always work that way. It varies all over. Plastics are a cheap way to experiment colors too. If you get a bag of crap that doesnt work, you wasted $3.50 instead of guessing at crank lures all that are more. Maybe a top water popper and a frog too other than that. Some weights and hooks. For $50 you can make a great big starting selection! Quite a few super wal marts carry a fair stock of good stuff for about $1 cheaper per item than specialty stores. Its best to get a versitile bait and work from that and get good at it. You can go blow $200 on a bunch of cool stuff, and a few months later less than half it it will hardly ever get used again.
  3. exactly what I was goin to say. Kriet is someone I could hang around all day.
  4. Only if they squeek when squeezed. The other ones are a piece of crap!
  5. They have a cooking section too for her while you look! j/k lol that was wrong.
  6. build a baby duck lure with paddling feet, maybe youll have more luck. lol
  7. haha! not what I was expecting!
  8. Its worth it if you have never been there before. Bring a high limit credit card and a few shopping carts in with ya lol
  9. I just noticed that lake west of that park yesterday! Is there a way to get a small boat in? I seen a fence all the way around up to the tennis courts. That looks like a nice lake to fish!
  10. I love senkos! when the conditioning is right... http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.197818143562242.52392.100000021730528&type=3#!/photo.php?v=544091352268251&set=vb.100000021730528&type=2&theater my first go to is a 10" ribbontail on a 1/8 oz tungsten screw in bullet for worms.
  11. got homwe to late for detailed pics, but heres one I found of it from another day...
  12. I dont want anyone to learn my tricks, then you guys will get all the big fish and leave me with pip squirts! Lol
  13. Nice. Saving money is always a big factor too.
  14. Thanks guys! Shane, Ive seen a few of your videos on youtube lookin for local videos. Maybe well cross paths one day!
  15. Mine is setup with a carpet covered 3/4 plywood on hinges from the front and rests on the first bench seat so you can stand on it, then can lift it up for battery and storage. The rear bench seat is removed for more ease moving around in the back with another section of flywood for a rigid floor and i just sit on the tacklebox when motoring. Ill get some pictures up tomorrow afternoon if nobody beats me to it for an idea.
  16. Hey! You live down the street from me. I actually just bought my little pip squirt boat from a guy in Parkland.
  17. Haha condor nest! Thats awesome! Its amazing how fast young kids learn. Just getting the attention span and patience down is all I need for mine. If they catch something within 10 minutes theyre good, otherwise scooping minnows is far more exciting for them.
  18. Thanks for the feedback guys. Yea I was eyeballin the tracker v16 at bps the other day, but it seems high for primarily bein in freshwater, but it had everything else for it and some inshore saltwater. I think it had carpet all around though. And like sloan mentioned too,.. i should look into a few specialized boat dealers for more selection. How does the V handle in the wind compared to a low profile glass bass boat being aluminum. Does that offset the blowing around a little more than a standard aluminum boat?
  19. Dang its so nice to get those big fatties! Nice bucketface!
  20. I havent been fishing long, but have gotten really into it. I got a little 10' tracker with a troller and 3.5hp 4 stroke to start with once I reallized I wasnt going to put the poles down. It was good for my canals and throw in the truck or trailer to other small spots, but now that Ive gotten better, wanna try some better bigger areas and some tournaments and want a real bass boat. Ive been tryin to decide between the trackers to a nitro z6, but thing is we wanna do some saltwater/brackish fishing too. Like snook and tarpon fishing around south florida between everglades city, to the gulf side North keys. Are these boats ok for this? I dont know much about tourney rules, but ive never seen a mako flats boat in a bass tournament lol. I dont really care about going out in the ocean or high water areas, but would like to get some 25-80lb fish too once in a while, but freshwater would be the primary use.
  21. Ive heard apple chunks work too, but I havent yet tried it.
  22. I always use a trailer hook. So many times Ive had hit and misses. The fish strike em hard and usually do a u-turn kinda like a top water stike and sometimes they miss. Heres a little guy I got last week thanks to that 2nd hook...
  23. I used a spinner when I was a kid, but just recently really got into fishing and read and seen everywhere baitcasters wwhere the main setup, so when i got the money for one I got a higher rated but cheap $80 abu reel. I have all left handers as im used to cranking with my left on spinners. It took a little while to learn but now i use them for almost everything. I have vids on facebook of catching bass on the drop with weightless senkos on a baitcaster. Its just changing the setup. I use em all the time with a 10" worm t rigged with an 1/8oz tungsten w no problem. The two main reasons I prefer these are getting the fish in fast to not give it a chance to shake off the hook, and not to spook as many fish away from where im fishing. The second and most important to me is presentation and aim. I can throw at a target to hard and slow my line down with my thumb to hit it dead on. With a spool, i can also throw my bait pretty far down a bank line and stop it over the water and drop it in with a small blip in the water instead of a large splash.
