Hows The Bait Monkey Treating Everyone
I have a BIG list for this weekend at BPS. Add that to the hundred or so i've already spent. But we get along well.
-
What Line?
I'd go with 12# monofilament or copolymer if you plan on throwing every bait in your tackle box. Braid doesn't stretch making it easier to rip treble hook baits out of a fish's mouth. Fluoro sinks, hindering the action of topwater lures.

Who's Coming To The Classic?
I'll try to make it to the expo or otherwise I'm hitting up the BPS
-
Favorite Soft Plastic??
Yum Dingers and Zoom baby brush hogs.
-
Favorite Spinning Reel Under $100
Just picked up a sahara. I love it
-
Carolina Rig.....tell Me Everything
The hookset is not like a T Rig. It's a long sweeping motion to the side like everybody else said.
-
Cleaning My Reels
Work it in for a while too. It will get smoother the more you reel it.
-
Bps Spring Classic.. What Are Your Hopes?
I'm in the market for a crankbait Compre and a few crankbaits. Some fluorocarbon as well.
-
Cleaning My Reels
You can apply too much lube and make your reel less smooth. If you take it apart again and see grease/oil everywhere, you may have applied too much.

Fishing Shows
Tackle Warehouse on Youtube has over 200 vlogs. I like them.
-
New Fishing Spot!
Nice! My neighborhood fishing pond is about half that size with twice the weight of garbage than bass.

Weirdest Things You Ever Caught (Non-Fish)?
I caught a towel once. Thought I had a huge pike.

New Reel Help?
I have one and love it, but I've never fished saltwater. This link should help: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/112219-bps-pro-qualifier-bc-reel-–-5-year-challenge-–-time-to-pay-the-piper

Double Tail Hula Grub
I like mine on a Carolina Rig.
-
Spring Bait
Jerkbait and a football jig probably. Maybe a red eye shad. Jerkbait or red eye shad for covering water, jig for fishing it slow.
-
Stankxbait ?
My old neighbor used and loved them. I'd try them out.
-
Filler Line (Backing)
I do the same. I find spools of line that won't fill a spool on a reel and use that as a backing.
-
Senko Style Baits
I agree with everybody else. First bait I ever caught a bass on.
-
Fantasy Fishing
I'll probably join tonight if that's alright with you guys

New Guys...
Haha, good tip! I love watching Tackle Warehouse's vlogs on Youtube.

What's Your Mvp?
My Skeet Reese Honeycomb Football Jig/Big Worm. I love it.

Scents/attractants
I use Kick'n Bass in garlic. I use it whenever I can't get bit. I honestly don't know if the fish care for it, but it does give me a little more confidence which can help any angler.

The A Rig
I have no experience with the umbrella rig, but I hope I can help. I wouldn't reccomend anything under a Heavy power. When choosing, you have to take in these factors: the weight of the head on the A Rig, the weight of the swimbait jigheads, the weight of the swimbaits, the vibration of the swimbait tails, and the force of maybe two big fish swimming in opposite directions. I hope this helped. I'd also check with the locals of the area you are fishing for what they use with the rig. Jaiden
