  1. Last I read, the company had no idea how to clean it up since the sediment is just settling on the bottom. Think thier only idea was to dredge it all up. And that might kill the river
  2. Might need to keep an eye on Kerr. Look up the coal ash spill effecting the Dan river. They think it will speed to Kerr and Gaston
  3. Check out Fish tails/ lake Anna marina. Talk to Chris craft. Best dude out. He's also a guide on the lake, might be a good way to get a good idea of the lake
  4. So I'm looking for an Alabama rod and having trouble with making my decision. I know 7'+ and heavy/extra heavy. But what brand. I've been reading reviews till my eyes hurt, then I think I make up my mind and find a hand full of bad reviews and start over. Trying not to spend over $100 cause I won't be using it that often. So help please. My current rods are 7'falcon MH, 6'6" st.Croix M, 7' Berkeley im6 MH, and a 6'6" Fenwick hmx spinning
  5. also look through his older posts. He has a full map and breakdown of all of his launch points
  6. Check out Charlies site. will give you the low down on a lot of spots in VB. http://vbfishguide.blogspot.com/
  7. Go down towards the bay. Don't go up stream. Heard oxygen levels are way low so fishing is bad. Back bay has been stocked in '09 and again about 2 months ago. Also bring some jigs. Crappie, white and yellow pearch are biting.
  8. One fish Anna. Yeah right. Follow Chris Craft on Facebook and he will change your mind about that
  9. check out this dudes blog. He kayak fishes but if you look at his older post, his list his launch points and might open your eyes to some spots. vbfishguide.blogspot.com
  10. What type? Do you have a boat, kayak or just bank fishing?
  11. New to the site. I have been getting a lot more serious with my fishing in the last two years. Just hoping you all might be able to shed some light on this topic. Everything I read on pre spawn conditions says they are in deep waters and traveling back and forth to the shallows. I live in SE Virginia and a lot of spots I fish have max depths of 10-15 feet. Is there that much temp change between those deep spots and the shallows? Or how does shallow water lakes change the whole pre spawn movements/ habits? Thanks guys
