  2. Hey y'all, I have saved up some money for a new reel, like most teens, I'm broke. I have been looking at 2 reels and they are very different. I have been looking at the revo s and the Abu Garcia 5500c3. My buddy has the c3 and I loved the feel of it and also loved the feel of the S. It takes me a while to save up so I can only afford one right now. I want a work horse of a reel that I can afford to use it for a little surf fishing for the 1 or 2 weeks that I'm at the beach in a year. A concern with the 5500c3 is difficulty in flipping and pitching and a concern with S is that it will not last as long as the 5500c3 from the salt. I take good care of te reels that I have with proper maintenance. I'm really torn and could use some help. Thanks y'all!

  4. That's awesome, well like many teenagers I have a limited supply of money and it takes a while to save up for a new set up. I am looking for a workhorse of a reel that will last me a long time. An since I can only afford one rod at a time I plan on using my new reel in saltwater for the one or two weeks out of the year that I'm at the beach. I take really good care of the reels that I have and when I have enough money I will invest in an actual saltwater reel. But I'm torn between two reels, the 5500 c3 and revo s. I know there is a big difference between the both but I lean tissues the s but my buddy has a 5500 and it feels awesome and I know for a fact that it's a workhorse and can hold up in the salt. My only concern with the 5500 is how much more difficult it will be to flip and pitch and a concern with the revo s is that even after good cleaning, that over time the salt will screw up the reel. I'm really torn and could use some input.

  6. Is the sx worth te extra 30 bucks or just stick with the s?
  7. I was just curious on why you see people catch saltwater fish and then as soon as they get the fish to the boat they grab the leader and then cut the line? I didn't know if this was a regulation or something? Thanks for the help y'all!
  8. I heard somewhere that it is possible to tell what and where fish are eating by the color of their mouths. I was wondering if this was true? Thanks y'all!
