  2. Very nice post it reminded me of the day i was cleaning a bass i caught, after expertly fileting the "eater" sized fish i decided on doing a little investigating into the stomach of my dinner to better understand what the bass were foraging for at this reservoir. When i opened it up i discovered a 4" baby bass colored senko. I knew one of my fishing buddys was there the day before so i called him up and asked him what colors he was using sure enough baby bass is was one of the colors he was using
  3. During the fishing season i can easily go through 30 to forty dollars in tackle a week(mostly soft plastics) not to mention stocking the cooler daily with drinks and lunch charging my marine batteries nightly makes the electric bill climb. I would guestimate that i spend between 1000 to 2000 yearly and i only fish april-nov
  4. Had a dream the other night that i caught a large red snapper type fish that looked very bassy
  5. Spin caster for the girlfriend ....... without it id be fixing her open face reel every other cast...no open face reels or baitcasting ones just spin caster's for the girlfriend.....

  12. Small yamamato senko at least 4 inches, that or a creature bait... 10-15 inch river/creek smallies all day long not huge but fun fish, smallies fight till the end!
  13. Lets all remember that are local fish and game has set limits for bass in all our areas. that being said they expect people to harvest and eat their catch. However some people feel a moral responsibility to preserve big fish for future anglers to catch, it is within the moral compass of every angler to choose to keep or preform "cpr" (catch,photo,release).... in the end sometimes i choose to keep "eaters"(fish in between 2-4lbs) and release the "breaders" fish (4lbs to 10).....but thats just me ....... if you do decide to throw back the fish of a lifetime remember measuring tape, camera, and digital scale are a must for every single fishing expedition..... good luck
  14. Mostly local however.... walmart has cheapest marine batteries around so it varies
  15. I have an 11 foot john boat with 55lb thrust electric motor i have no depth finder or electronics (dont plan on geting any either)... polarized lenses are a must..... just slowly troll the banks of ur pond or river casting at the bank, downed trees, brush cover etc etc as far as fishing blind you should be standing up and "sight fishing" looking for beds underwater root piles rock beds ledges( with your polarized lenses on a good day you will be able to see as far as 8 to ten feet down) i catch loads of bass with out fancy electronics and with my flat bottom john boat i can get into places big bass boats would never dare to go.... get your self a minn kota and youl b styling good luck

  17. Professional bass fisherman make me sick they turn fishing into nascar with their ******* sponsor patches all over their jackets... bassin is a hallowed tradition passed down from father to son or daughter. It is not something to be commercialized and raped by the media.... barf

  23. ive tried gulp and powerbait worms also yum, nothing beats yamamato in my book if your worried about saving money just start out fishing texas rigged then when your lure is beat to crap switch over to wacky, i save all my broken soft plastic worms all season in a bag so i can always rig one up wacky if i run out of fresh lures,
  24. has anyone heard of this or read any of the articles? ive done quite a bit of research and it seems legit
