Fenwick Aetos?
I have the 7'6" H/XF, I use it for Carolina rigs and will use it for jigs - flipping. The rod is pretty sensitive and really like how it feels in my hand. I haven't caught a fish on it yet. I've used it 2 times so far this year as the summer progresses I imagine I'll be using it more. It is a pleasure to fish with, I would recommend buying the line you won't be disappointed. Before I purchased this rod, I was testing it against a Cumara and Legend Tournament. For 120 less, the rod felt just as comparable in store. The Cumara H 7'4 felt crisper and lighter though, but the Aetos balanced fine with a Curado 200B on it. I paid 139 before tax, it is well made too and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. *** was impressed with their review too.

Weird Issue With Both Chronarch/crucial Combos
Yeah true, maybe I'll test my 200E7 on the Crucial and see if I get the same issue. Never bought a Chronarch 200 series (newer ones), so I can't duplicate.

Loomis 3 Power Application Help
I own the newer GLX JWR 853C, I use it for - small jigs up to 1/2 oz, t rig worms, can be used as a senko rod and can be used to drag football jigs in 15' and under. I don't own the other models. But if they were mine I'd them up like this. 853C - My main jig rod for 15' and under and for light cover. 803C (GLX) - light swim jigs and senko 803C (NRX) - T-RIG up to 1/2 oz

That is a good idea, he'll take care of you.

Weird Issue With Both Chronarch/crucial Combos
That is just odd, I own Compre, Clarus and Crucials with the same reel seat. Never really noticed an issue opening the side plates with the reels I am using (Citica and Curado G). I own one new Chronarch but it's the 50E and never used it on these rods.

Another Cold, Wet, Windy Weekend!
It's not just Indiana, I think the funky temp is happening to most of the North East, by Monday I'm assuming the cold front you are getting we are getting cause the temps are dropping for us too. (Ontario Canada)

Stupidest Thing You've Done While Fishing?
HAHA I've done that, fortunately it was on shore that time. Stupidest thing I've done was launch my canoe in one corner of the lake (last season the water level as you all know was really bad) normally it is deeper so usually couldn't launch easily with a steep bank. Anyway, I put all my equipment in the canoe slowly put it in the water, went down to get in and bam my legs go in knee deep and I kept sinking! Didn't think to check the mud, luckily there were nearby cattails so I grabbed onto them for dear life! Of course then I noticed an animal carcass too behind the cattails and I had no choice but to pull myself up on top of this rotting carcass. It was a wonderful day for sure, I also had to save my boots too as they got stuck in the mud. After that I always check how bad the bottom is with a pole.

When To Go From Mh To H For Jig Rod
Weight and cover will dictate what I use. In that order, I'll use my GLX 3 (MH) power between 1/4 - 1/2 oz, anything 1/2+ oz I'll use my 4 power. Then the next determining factor is, what is the cover? If it's sparse up to moderate cover, I will use my MH. If it's heavy cover I'll go up to my 4 power.

Buzzbait
I use Booyah too, they work just fine. Heck even the BPS brands work well. I used them on my trip last year and the smallies didn't care it was "BPS or Booyah". Even caught a pike with it too.

Buzzbait
I don't think I have problems with hook up ratios with braid, I usually go full braid. That is why I wait to make sure they have it before I set the hook. (Count to 3 or say the phrase "Set the hook", I will also set it when I think I know they have it before I finish counting..etc).

Buzzbait
Especially if you are using that Berkley with a XF tip. I'd recommend a mono or Copolymer.

Buzzbait
Well it would work I'm sure depending if it's the right Power/Action. I usually throw my buzzbaits on a 7+ MH/F.

Mojowackz Rig Idea?
Try it out and let us know.

Senko Rod
What he said, compared to my Shimano and Fenwicks Mediums the St Croix rods definitely feel more MH when you compare them side by side from my experience.
-
Senko Rod
I second this, I bought one last week and it is a pleasure to fish. My opinion this rod is underrated and is comparable to rods in the 200 dollar range, so at 129 retail it is well worth it, but you can usually find it for less. I can get them regularly priced at 99.

What Rod Power, Length & Action Do You Like For Drop Shotting?
I use two rods for this. Crucial 6'8" ML/XF for the standard light tackle DS paired with a Stradic FJ 1000 10lb braid and 6lb floro leader. Cumara 6'8" MH/XF Chronarch 50MG 50 lb braid with a 12 lb floro leader for cover/timber DS

Best Braid?
I would go Power Pro regular or slick. At first I was an advocate of Spiderwire Stealth, but I found this season the braid is starting to fray on 3 of my reels. The ones with PP is still going strong from last season. I'm going to have to change it out this season, I also found that I am backlashing this season with the ones with Spiderwire, it looks like they do not age well. The ones I have PP on are working flawlessly. So Power Pro will be my main line from now on. I usually get 30 or 50 lb braid.

Stopping Attacking Red-Wing Blackbirds?
I'd relocate their nest, but you'll need body armor while you do it.

What Did You Buy Today!?
I was thinking of grabbing one too, local retail store has them on sale for 49 though. If it were 30 I probably would've jumped all over it. I probably will still buy one as I'm in the market for a dedicated spinnerbait rod. It's funny about your OCD. I refused to put my Shimanos on my lone Daiwa T Rod..lol

What Did You Buy Today!?
I bought 4 Bomber Square Bills on clearance at Sail and 4 XCalibur Lipless cranks. Bought them all for 27 bucks, were on clearance for 3 bucks a piece.
