  1. Anyone in northern MIchigan doing well on steelhead? I have 2 friends coming up this weekend and they'd like to fish. I have no idea where to take them. I am in the Mio area.
  2. I agree stupid commercial.
  3. I have read a few of the books from the BASSMASTER library (they send them every so often if you have a subscription). I didn't think they were too bad, but it's many of the same topics they cover in the magazines so I haven't kept any of them.
  4. Last time I found a mispriced product they gave me the price and said it was their fault for mislabeling it.
  5. I have a Garmin 120 fish finder. Low budget, around $119.00, I have had it 2 years, never failed me. Very basic super easy to use. Gives water temp, fish depth, bottom contour, has some other features like shallow water alert, fish alert, battery charge. Not a bad unit, of course its my first one so I may not be the best judge but, I mark fish with it. They may have changed the model number now I think, but its still in the same price range.
  6. God bless you for all you have done for us over there. Get home safe.
  7. Dang Monkey he got me too this weekend, $50.00 on misc. from Cabela's.
  8. I guess I have to realize there are some honest guys like us trying to sell their boats. I guess after having my identity stolen I am very leery making deals online, and with the price of gas I don't want to drive 6 hours one way and find out the boat is junk. It helps to know you guys have had good experiences. I am still curious on the aluminum/ fiberglass choice. Is the upkeep on a fiberglass going to cost me a lot more time and money than with an aluminum?
  9. Thanks guys. Glad to hear some people have had good experiences. I think I just need to do my homework and be careful who I deal with
  10. A few questions for you Has anyone bought a boat online before like ebay, iboats, or boat trader? I have been looking but am leery buying if I have never seen the boat in person. And I always wanted a fiberglass bass boat but I am scared that the upkeep may be more than I bargain for, can you guys give me some insight please? Is there a lot more up keep than with an aluminum? What kind of added expense am I looking at?
  11. Great topic. I also noticed the same question in this month's bassmaster magazine. They probably don't want to upset any of their advertisers by taking a position on it. They dodged the question pretty much. I have used red hooks while tube, lizard, and worm fishing. IMO I don't think it changed my catch rate much.
