They are right on about chewing. I have a buddy who has a lump on his jaw from it, I quit after 7 years on and off, and wish I never started. IT'S NOT WORTH IT. Besides every can is like one less fishing lure you could have bought. By the way did you know a few facts about chewing tobacco 1. 1 dip hasapproximately equal to the nicotine in 7 cigarettes. 2. There is embalming fluid, rocket fuel, arsenic, formedahyde and about 3,500 other chemicals in it. 3. 20 of the chemicals are known to cause cancer. Just trying to look out for you dude. Oh and incase you never heard of it this is called hairy tongue and it's also caused by chewing. And this is really a condition, look it up if you don't believe me!

I have a friend who sells on ebay. She makes pretty good money as a second income. All she does is go to thrift/ second hand stores and buys thinkgs like slacks, khakis, anything of interest and sells it on ebay for a competative price. It might be worth checking into, or just sell your old stuff.

I have heard a two theories lately and was hoping you guys would chime in on them. Theory 1. If you are catching pike in a spot you will not catch bass. ( I know on my home lake it seems I eithr catch one or the other very rarely both in the same spot) Theory 2. If you are fishing mats/ weeds and not hearing the popping of bluegill feeding there will not be any bass there either Thoughts?

Amazing. I couldn't magine catching one of those fish but to catch 2 on the same day, I might pass out ...after taking pictures and measurements for my graphite replicas. They don't grow them like that in Michigan

Wife and I went and loved every minute of it. What a great movie. And Timmy I agree that the persian king -god did appear a little "fruity". I was however blown away by the stupidity of the family sitting next to us. They had 3 kids with them and the youngest couldn't have been over 6 years old and the oldest couldn't have been older than 10. Who takes a 1st grader to that movie!!? Great movie for adults but a 6year old?

Talked to the son this morning, he's dealing about as well as could be expected. He did mention that he was happy that some of their pictures made it along with his Derek Jeter signed baseball and some other memorabilia. So at least they are finding some stuff that made it.

Picked up a 10" storm kicking minnow perch pattern for $5 . Was going to give it a shot for pike this year. Anyone use these with any success? Any rigging/ presentation suggestions?

I will be trying a big X Rap this year on my home lake. Husky Jerk would be a great way to go. I have always had success with sliver and black back, firetiger is also a good choice.

I have a good friend that coach football and baseball with. Yesterday about 10 am his house caught fire. From the sounds of it, it was an electrical fire and a total loss. I have a list of things they need and my wife is out shopping as I write this, and the community is rallying around the family pretty well. Just a terrible week for my friend because saturday the transmission went on his truck. Anyway I just really feel crappy about the whole thing and was hoping you guys could keep the VanWagoner family in your prayers. Oh the incredible thing, his son found out his house burned down and still played in his district basketball game last night and did great! What a tough kid.

I eneded up seeing the fight by coincedence. They had the fight on at the bar we pulled into. It was a great fight but that first punch was the best.

Saw cabelas has a clearence on strike king tubes. 72 bag for 35 bucks. Anyone use these or have knowledge of these baits? I'd be thrilled with 40* We just got pounded with another 8-10 inches on Monday and its still below freezing here. And in last night's storm we lost power for 8 hours and froze my a_ _ off. Winter officially sucks > > I was ice fishing this weekend and we still have 12" of ice. I am guessing at least another month until I can wet a line.
