  1. what time are you picking me up?
  2. great pics fourbizz. every time i go to cali i don't want to leave. good surf, snowboarding, bass fishing. it is just soooo expensive to live there that i would never be able to buy a house on a teachers salary.
  3. i am with you doug---leftover meatloaf is great for sandwiches. i also like black beans that were cooked in a crock pot with ham hocks. the next day they are even better than the first.
  4. big ups to brokeju for having his 13 pound monster featured in the september/october issue of bassmaster magazine. it is featured in the lunker club and oh by the way-----it is the biggest fish out of the 18 fish shown. right on brokeju!
  5. right on sir snook.
  6. skinny dippers, topwater frogs and like doug said a big spook. 21 pounds took the bassbusters today. good luck kevin
  7. anyone fish north lake lately? j&s, kings bar? going up friday and a tourny on staurday. any help would be great.
  8. ficus berries work for me. not sure if you have ficus trees where you are, but they love 'em down here.
  9. sounds like you had a good time avid. i too love ospreys. my favorite bird in florida.

    great band! amazing live.
  11. not at all. i hit titleist dtr irons with a callaway driver and 4 wood. i only use cleveland wedges, and my putter is odysee and hit only titleist prov 1. golf is a mental game so why not begin with the stuff that makes you start with a positive mind set.
  12. x2. big bass down here in florida didn't get big by eating minnows. i will give it a go when the frog bite starts crackin.
  13. i use mine with tiny flukes. they are great ripping them through hydrilla. that bait catches fish.
  14. i have a friend who is going to lake jessup this weekend and i told him i would do some recon. other than having a ton of gators, where do you fish? baits? any help would be great.
  15. agreed. the last 2 times i fished it the west side just north of the ramp was red hot on the outside grass lines. i also caught fish in the pads by hendersons.
  16. if you live in florida, hiassen's novels are a must. last year i read his new book "scat" to my fifth grade class. they loved it as did i. "sick puppy" is a good one as well. in most of his novels, the same characters keep popping up. if you are looking for a good read for a kid (and adults), "flush" is a good one.
  17. thank you gentlemen.
  18. i have a new found respect for your trade. i just laid 350 square feet and my back, knees, hands and skin are aching. how long should i wait for jamo multibond to set up? i started at 9 this morning and put my last tile down at 5. can i walk on it tomorrow to clean the grout lines?
  19. exactly. the only difference between lee and i, is i always start with the lightest weight possible. i start wih a 3/8 ounce tungsten then i move up to 1/2 and then 1oz. depending on what i am flipping. i peg my weights as well. i also use a smaller hook like a 3/0 ewg gama. another tip is to keep your thumb on the spool when letting the bait drop. once you have penetrated the slop, slowly lower your bait down using your thumb on the spool as control. i like to flip paca craws. i have the most confidence in that bait. when the slop is super thick, i will flip a gambler bb cricket. it goes through the slop easier.
  20. what is the name of your club? i am in the south florida bass club.
  21. <30 days. i go back the 17th. my summer is dwindling down. thanks for the reminder doug. i fished again this morning from 9-11:30 and caught one fish. i am going wednesday and i am gonna spend the entire day out there. they are moving so much water out there i think the fish are confused. the hilsboro canal was ripping east. i might try that spillway in lake worth for some big snook. gotta pm sirsnook to see where their at.
  22. fished lox from sun up to 10. caught 11 and most were this size. the heat is brutal. after the morning bite, the fish disappear.
  23. like i said, ive fished them a ton......in the store..........lol. let me ask you, what brought you to buy a Carrot Stix or any other rod/reel? the feedback on this forum is probably 100% responsible for me not buying some gear and 60% responsible for the current gear i have. i dont have to use them on the water, some boys i respect a ton did that for me. thanks guys!!!! i have 3 carrot stix and i love mine. i only paid $100 each. with that said, everyone has their own opinion. i do agree with you about how the feedback on this forum can help someone make a decision on what they purchase. my rule of thumb is this: just because it says they have been posting a long time on their avatar, doesn't mean they have. i respect a lot of guys on this site and value their opinions. just be careful who you heed advice from. 20 posts a day for 3 months does not make for a reliable source of info IMO.
  24. are you fishing a tourny? i might fish the silver division of the bass busters on saturday. that is if my wife lets me.
