  1. Ok the water temp when I fished them last was 52 had back to back cold fronts so will they suspend better in the colder water?
  2. RoLo they rise very slowly when I added a suspend dot to one it did alot better. I was trying to get a 15-30 count and normally by the count of 20 it was on the surface
  3. ill check it out when I get home but Dwight what are your favorite kind of jerkbaits
  4. I think I they have a size 4 on now go to 6
  5. The ones I have im having trouble getting them to suspend. I have the rapala husky jerk and a smithwick rattling rogue any advice on getting them to suspend
  6. The water temp is about 47 and the visibility is about 2'
  7. My thing is I have have the hard ones a fighting chance 5 trips no fish and I have more confidence in the flukes. Idk what to do in my situation
  8. I can't seem to get a handle on hard jerkbaits. I can catch the on a fluke or a trick like its nothing. My question is are soft jerkbaits as effective as hard ones in the winter time. Im about to break out the flukes guys.
  9. Happy birthday Mike
  10. It has a moderate taper to it. And its rated for 1/8-1/2 oz baits
  11. What would you guys use it for? I was thinking shallow cranks and topwaters mabey jerkbaits too.
  12. I fish a high pressure lake and a shakey head is my go to. If I can't get a bite on anything I will get a bite on a shakey head.
  13. They seem pretty strong to me
  14. when would you guys use a pop-r over a walking style bait and vice versa
  15. I like ish as well but I feel KVD is their cash cow. I all honesty I sometimes forget about the other anglers in their lineup..........I seen the live target bait ball cranks and jerkbaits. I wanted to try them but I still need to get down jerkbaits all together.
  16. With the leader I just tied it will be on my spool as well. I had to tie that long of a leader bc I am fishing deeper water also bc the fish are spooky. Does it hurt the double uni knot being on the spool and coming thru the guides.
  17. Berkley has a rod in their lineup that is specifically for the umbrella rig.It has worked fine for me and for 50 bucks can't be beat. If your just starting with the rig and your on a tight budget like I am I highly recommend it. I will give you the specs when i return home.
  18. He was talking about the rodent and the rage tail anaconda last year. I have to catch the show tomorrow.
  19. My leader is about 5' and I have the 10lb co polymer leader 8lb I am taking it out to test it. Im using a #1 VMC spinshot hook on this outing I hope it works out. Thanks for all the good info.
  20. Yes I tie it so its facing upwards it may be the hookset ill try it out.
  21. I drop through rod tip mabey 6" then I lift and step backwards all in one motion and start reeling
  22. I thought I was getting a positive hooksest. The hooks I am using are owner mosquito hooks. The reason I thought I needed braid was the lack of stretch. Both fish bit at the end of a long cast in deep water. I was also looking for the sensitivity, the one I lost today was a nothing bite. I mean the first time I have ever had a bite that light. I felt the weight and said its either a bush or a fish, what the heck. Stet the hook and felt the head shake was on for 5-10 seconds then gone.
  23. Im losing them during the fight
  24. And im tying the rig with my leader line right
