  1. X2!!!! The *** is the best rod in that price range by a mile
  2. Hey did you ever find a club?
  3. Thanks for your input guys, what's the main difference between the tp and sd, there are a lot of tp going for 130 on ebay right now so I would almost rather get that
  4. Thanks for the replies guys and I know the tp are great (I have a couple) , but they are little to light for my rod and don't balance as well as it could and lag do you have the gen 3 revo sx?
  5. Only the low gear ratio bb1 has the muti stop anything about 5:1 is the instant
  6. Hey guys looking to upgrade my frog rods reel, and I'm stuck between the lews bb1 and the revo sx, I have a few lew's and love them, but also love my revo s, I'm thinking the Revos drag would be a big plus but I'm hearing the mag breaks aren't the best and the bb1 would cast a lot better? Any input you guys have would help a lot!
  7. It's been holding up my jeep cj7 build for quite some time haha not only does it take the time to work on it but the monkey steals the funds hahaha
  8. There is a topic going around about these rods somewhere with around 100 replies and no negative comments, it really is an awesome rod for the price, you can't go wrong with it
  9. Yes notice as said compares it is not completely as sensitive but very close, for 100 there is no rod on that price range that comes close. I wish I had found them before I bought my other rods, if I had the money I would replace all my rods with them
  10. I have owned the St Croix vertias, and many others and the best thing even close to that price range is the *** black ***, it is am awesome rod, balances great and It's so crisp, the sensitivity compares to a rod with an imx blank!!! But it's only 100 $$!
  11. And I'll bring the lews tournament pro with me when I go, Ill get the 7'3 if they have it!
  12. I would be going to lake mary, thanks for the numbers and that sounds like an awesome deal but I like to see my rods before I buy them
  13. I'm in Florida haha ill check shipping costs, but would 2inches difference mean a lot of Lose in casting distance?
  14. Do you know how long the shipping takes? and do you think there would be a major difference between the 7'1 and 7'3, I am going to be passing my gander on my way out if town tomorrow, and was planning to do a tournament this weekend, but if the difference would be noticeable I can wait for the rod also
  15. Just checked there website and the tallest rod they have is 7'1
  16. Looks like I will be calling gander mountain to see if they have any in stock, so you like it more than the crucial?
  17. lure was a strike king swim jig, with trailer line was 15 or 17 pound florocarbon
  18. thanks for all the responses guys! i think ive narrowed it down to the shimano crucial 7'2 heavy or mh (what would you recommend), carbonlite (dont know what model) or a *** .... tough choice...
  19. I think im going to keep the rod and use it as a frog rod and swim jigs, and try to find a new Texas rig rod, do you guys have any recommendations
  20. Hmmmmm the tackle monkey in me just had an idea, this rod still has a great action and power for other techniques like frogs and buzzbaits( I do love me some frogs) and I don't have a rod for either..... Maybe I should keep this and then get a good rod dedicated to Texas rigs....
