Arthritis
According to my doctor, arthritis is almost any pain in your joints. I've been dealing with it for 25 years or so. Over the counter meds do almost nothing for me. Long term help, something I am not good about doing, is exercise. When my knees were getting bad, I started wading in my local rivers. The low impact, walking in water strengthened my leg muscles and kept my knees from hurting as much. I hate exercise just to push a weight around, but doing something fun and productive worked out. In the winter when I can't wade, the arthritis flares up some and I know if I'd get off my lazy behind, I'd feel better.

Not So Confident With Jerk Baits
You're up in Minnesota. If the ice ever goes out, start throwing them in any area you suspect might hold fish. I find I do better using longer pauses while the water is colder and shorter pauses was the water warms. Adjust the pause length to suit the mood of the fish. You can throw them over deep water and the suspended fish that are staging before the spawn will find them. Your confidence will grow sharply as you start wacking them.

Importance Of The Male Bass Genetics
No, obviously, I dont. Why would I? I live in Illinois. DNR programs in Texas are not big news up North. I'd have to guess that the reproduction done in this program is done in a hatchery not the natural way.

How was it the father was spreading his seed in these different lakes?

Ratchet Washer
Are you sure you want it to lock down? If you bump something, you would want it to slip on it's bracket so it does not break off.

How Is Hybrid Striped Bass Fishing Different From Lmb?
The hybrid striped bass, they are often called "wipers" in the lakes I catch them in, are a schooling fish and we usually catch them in open water and not relating closely to structure like largemouth do. We will often troll around for a while until we locate a school and then cast to them with blade baits, lipless crank baits, Rapalas or topwaters. Like stripers, watch for them busting baitfish on the surface. Try and follow the school to keep the action going. Once you get in a school, doubles are common. The action can be so good you don't want to stop to take pictures.

Point Rod Blanks
The rod was donated to my club's fundraiser. I don't exactly how much the guy who bought it and donated it actually paid but the the guy who built it also donated his time. It was designed to be the lightest rod possible. These are the specs; Blank- Point PB661LF-250, 6-10 lb. 1/32-1/4 oz. (spinning) Guides- Fuji Torzite/Titanium Reel seat- Fuji Grips- EVA – Grade A I got to handle the rod briefly. It is by far the lightest rod I have ever held. I use mostly spinning rods in the medium light to light range and this was a feather compared to other rods I've used. Everyone at our event was amazed how light it was. These Point Blanks are sure to be seen a lot more in rods made for guys who have to have the lightest rods around. I'll get to fish with it in May when the guy who won it will be with me for a week up in Northern WI on a fishing trip. I'll report back then to let you know how it fishes.

Full Moon
The difference in the moon's gravitational pull between any moon phases on a freshwater lake, is so small it has no effect on the water level. An easy breeze will change the water levels on one side of a lake to the other many, many times greater than the moon can. The boat you are fishing in has a greater gravitational pull on a bass than the moon does.

Our local forecasters compare several different computer models including the European ones when reporting the weather. Too bad yours don't.

Fish Finder Or No Fish Finder?
A fish finder? You probably don't need one of those. A depth finder though will help. If you are fishing shallow rivers from your kayak a depth finder won't be as useful as it will be on a lake. There are probably humps, edges, holes and other structures in the lakes you fish you are not aware of. Today's depth finders all have built in thermometers so you always know what the surface temps are. Even the least expensive models do a great job of showing depth, how hard the bottom is, and the location of weeds and weed edges. It's great you're catching fish without one but you'll wonder how you did it after you've had a depth finder for a while. They are a great tool that will only add to your fishing experience.

Painting Soft Plastics?
I just saw a Larry Dahlberg video, probably on Youtube, where he was painting some of the soft plastic lures he made. I'm pretty sure he put a clear coat on that kept the paint from coming off. Look for his videos you might get some tips.

I Fogot To Put Sta-Bil In My Gas Tank!!!
I left gas in my snowblower untreated for a year and it started right up when I needed it. Fuel problems with gas that has ethanol can happen but it's not guaranteed.

I Fogot To Put Sta-Bil In My Gas Tank!!!
I went years and never knew about adding Stabil over the winter and never had any problems. You're probably OK. Go shead and add it now, it can't hurt.

Line Stretch Test - 18 Types/brands
The P-Line you call 'Low Stretch"? Compared to the other lines you tested it may have been low stretch, but that's like saying a Ferrari is cheap ......compared to a Lamborghini.

Line Stretch Test - 18 Types/brands
Did you happen to look at the lines after they'd been stretched? Fluoro supposedly does dot return to it's original shape after it's been stretched. I'm curious as to your observations.

Coleman Crawdad???
I fished in one several years ago. They are not that stable. Probably a bit more than a canoe or kayak, but not as stable as an aluminum jon boat. A good boat wake could probably flip one. If you already have a kayak, this is not that much of a step up but you can carry more gear if that's what you are looking for. I'm sure others here have spent more time in one than I have.
