  1. This one guy on a TV show had his portable fish finder suction cupped onto his trolling mottor, then tied a string around it. He said it worked pretty well but they'll say anything on TV... : Mike
  2. Heres the link to the post Roadwarrior was talking about: http://bassresource.com/cgi-bin/bass_fish/YaBB.pl?board=gen_bass;action=display;num=1109024214
  3. Largemouth only because most of the lakes around here only have them. I want to go smallmouth fishing sometime this summer though.
  4. I have a tube but I havnt actually "been tubeing". Alough I have seen these guys...they had 2 tubes, and a trolling motor rigged up between them...Good idea but it looked weird.
  5. That setup sounds pretty good. The watermelon/red flake was my best color last year. The 2/0 hook should be ok, but if you start missing fish, you might try a bigger hook. Some days if Im missing fish, I might try a 5/0. Make sure to check this website for tips on Senkos and other stuff. I find that dragging the Senkos over lily pads(if you have any) works pretty well. Im not going to get into the Brush Hogs, because I havnt fished them, alough Im guessing you'd fish them like you would a worm. Let us know how it turns out! Mike
  6. Ok, well, Im not Glenn but... I think its because you just posted the topic, so you know what you wrote, and dont need to know that its new...Unless its happening when someone reply's on your post? Mike
  7. Yellow perch on a spinner bait...The perch was about as big as the bait.
  8. I...am 14
  9. The fish in most(actually all, that Im aware of) of my local lakes can be eaten. Now pollution wise, Im not so sure, but Im guessing if we can eat the fish, its not too bad. The lake I fish in the most though, is pretty clean. Its a small like right off a busy road, and the whole shore has houses on it. My grandparents, and their neighbors, have tested the water though, and both tests say the water is clean. Im not sure what the gov'ts doing to prevent polluting, but a few of the streams I fly fish in, dont allow dropshots(lead). Anyways, hope it helps and sorry for the long post. If I can find the regulation book, I'll try and find some more stuff on this kind of stuff. Mike
  10. Rich, is there any place online that I can find more info? Ive been looking for a little boat that I can fish my grandparents lake, with...I dont want to spent a whole lot, but yeah. Mike
  11. No owl's for me....Ive got bats. :
  12. Hey guys thanks for the quick posts. Bigjohnstud5: The lake Im refering to is Martha Lake in Lynnwood, my grandparents live on it(look it up at washingtonlakes.com). And to Nick.Cluver, I live in Washington(state), so Im about as Northwest as you can get in the states ;D . Thanks again guys.
  13. What do you guys use for fishing lily pads? They are the main cover in my lake besides the random submered log, and docks(atleast that Im aware). We have some small patches, and a few big ones, infact, the end of the lake that i fish at, about 1/8 of is it lily's(the lake is 56 acres). And they're thick lily's . So what do you guys use? Thanks, Mike
  14. Anyone here go tube fishing? I have one but I havn't really fished out of it yet. I will probably try it this next season, alough I have the jitters about dropping my rod . And whats the deal with swiching lures? I guess you try and fish with one the whole day, but I dont know how that would work. Especially when I get snagged alot. ??? ;D Mike
  15. Ive seen people use it salt water fishing, but Ive never heard of people useing it in fresh water.
  16. Might you have a link to their website? Mike
  17. Where can I buy Super Pork? I've visited their website, and see the "mail order's welcome", but no price? Mike
  18. Thanks for the info guys. I'll probably go and check out those shows. Do you have a link to where I could get some more info(on the shows)? Mike
  19. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/horizontal-item.jhtml?id=0018488011724a&navAction=push&navCount=2&indexId=cat21340&podId=0018488&catalogCode=IF&parentId=cat21340&parentType=index&rid=&cmCat=MainCatcat21276&hasJS=true Big link Anyone ever used them? Im thinking about buying one. Looks like something I could cruise around in at my grandparents lake(56 acre lake). I'd probably get the larger of the two(Stalker). Just thought I would get some input before I make my desicion. And would you think a fish/depth finder would work on this thing? Thanks, Mike
  20. https://bassresource.com/cgi-bin/bass_fish/YaBB.pl?board=bass_equip;action=display;num=1103049049 A post I made about the exact same thing Some good info in it! Though I could use some more info on how to keep it from drying out once I get some... :

  22. Rapala Pro Fishing is out on the PC and XBOX(PC comes with a lure ), and there is another one out for the XBOX, but I cant remember the name...Only game Ive played for the PS2 I didnt like...Waaaaay to hard to reel in fish ???
  23. Caught a 2" bass once...also a bullfrog on a senko...had those underwater birds follow alot of my lures, and Ive had my share of turtles. Also seen a turtle attack a little Pumpkinseed before, funny to watch. Off topic, but Ive hooked myself in the lip while fly fishing. So I guess you could say I caught myself, and thats a wacky catch. ;D
  24. Oh man that made my day! ;D Thanks for the post JT!
