  1. Sorry to hear about the 8 inches of snow. I'm not going to mention it's in the 60's here. OP that's a nice fish for anytime of the year.
  2. Quality fish.
  3. The problem is I have lost the insert. When it hit the floor it disappear. Lost in cyber space. Apparently I bought the very last Co-Matrix of this kind they had in their inventory. No mas it's now discontinued. Must be the fishing gods way of steering me towards a Dobyns. If Airrus has s*itty customer service and won't replace the whole rod, TW said they will refund my money and I'll just upgrade to a Dobyns or something. Guess it ain't meant to be.
  4. Not all carriers were nuclear powered. I was on the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk and she was decommisioned only like 3 years ago. She was one of the last conventional carriers. When I was in the Navy back in the very early '90's she burned oil. I can still taste the smoke from the stack today when I think back. It'll never leave me.
  5. Well TW has discontinued the Co-Matrix 2.0. If Airrus wants to be funky and not replace my defective rod TW said they would have me send them the rod back and they would re-emburse me the money back in a GC. If that happens I'll get a different rod. Was just looking at Dobyns. What do yall think of a Dobyns 734C Savvy Micro Guide as a frog rod?
  6. Thanks for the responses guys. Funny cuz after I lost it and posted the question on here one of my cats found it. So I go to put it back in with some crazy glue and it fell to the floor and I lost it again . Well it's somewhere in my kitchen on hard wood floor. You would think I would be able to find it on a wood floor but no. I got the rod from TW. Maybe I should contact them too. I really hope I will not have to replace the whole doggon eye. As soon as I took off the bubble wrap up receiving it the insert fell to the ground. I was very careful to cut the bubble wrap away instead of just ripping it off. Sucks for me. We'll see what kinda of customer service Airrus has.
  7. The ceramic line guide insert on my brand spanking new rod came out before I had a chance to string line through it. Do you think the bare eye would have an adverse effect on the integrity of braid? The braid line is Tuff-Line Supercast. I wrote Airrus and asked for a new insert.
  8. After sucking in fumes from an aircraft carrier's smoke stack and breathing in jet fumes, the little bit of lead on tackle is the least of my worries.
  9. Here is my newest set up for throwing Kermit. 3rd gen Revo SX on a H/F Airrus Co-Matrix 2.0 Radialmatrix with Tuff-Line Supercast. I thought my Veritas was light but this thing is really light. Oh and this will be my first mirco-guide rod so we'll see how it does.
  10. KYtucky that oragne isn't too visiable in clear water?
  11. Those are some good feesh there for Maine or anywhere else Mainebass.
  12. You know I've fished it once or twice . The fish I am holding in my avatar is from Whatcom.
  13. Welcome I'm new too.
  14. Hey David. I am also new and from Washington in the Bellingham area. Where you from?
  15. Very nice catch Wartown. I have permission to fish a private pond too and other than the owner's adult son nobody else fishes it . But only about 30-40% of it is fishable from shore. Last summer I caught my PB greenie there, and my 2nd best greenie.
  16. x2 on nice fish bruh. What kinda trailer did you use for your jig?
  17. Doesn't look like no one has mentioned this combo but a Revo MGXtreme paired up with an Airrus Nano Fusion. Hawt! I got a Revo SX a couple of weeks ago and waiting for my Airrus Co-Matrix 2.0 to arrive tomorrow. I think that will also be a good look together. Hopefully this combo will have me pulling hawgs outta th slop in the near future. Yup it wasn't the first requirement but it didn't hurt that both combos are black accented by red.
  18. Congrats on the PB. I'm looking to beat my own PB and get into the 6 pound class this season too.

    Duuudddeee.....
  20. Ok name the one place in the U.S. you would call in sick tomorrow if you had the chance to go fish? I'm talking about right now including current weather conditions and everything. For me it would be the Cal Delta.
  21. Sweet Jeezus man. Those two are some chunks. But if I was holding two pigs like that I would be grinning something serious. I also love the deatails with the pics.
  22. There are some frickin' chunks posted here. If these pics won't make you run and grab your pole nothing will. Well here is my all time biggest brownie I caught last spring. She went someting like 4lbs. 8oz. I've lost the pic of my biggest greenie which went for 5lbs plus post spawn.
  23. To answer your question absolutely. The smallie I'm holding in my avatar is my PB at a hair shy of 5 pounds. She was caught on a Redeye Shad. It is my only fish I;ve ever caught on a lipless. Up until that moment I had never had an luck with lipless cranks.
  24. I am really making my own jigs. But I have the Skirts Unlimited kit and it comes with a crappy skirt making tool. I found that the tool struggles with 3 or more tabs trying to pass through the tool when I want a full bodied jig. Anyone know of a DIY alternative or a better commercial one?
  25. All of those jigs say "Bite Me!" Look pretty good. I'm looking to pour my own heads. You use a mold for those swimjigs or you buy them pre-made?
