  1. Texas rigged Zoom U-Vibe Speed tail.
  2. The drill bit worked fine. My speedo's accuracy wasn't too far off from my GPS. I like to have a backup just in case. Thanks for your help.
  3. I don't leave my electronics mounted on the boat until I'm ready to put in. I put my Garmin and Lowrance units in a $6 lunchbag size cooler from Wally World. It has a hard plastic insert too.
  4. My dash mounted speedo stopped working today. I'm thinking some mud may have gotten into the speedo tube in the lower unit. Is it possible to apply air pressure from the speedometer end of the tube to blow out the debris or am I looking at dropping the lower unit?
  5. Woo Daves for worm fishing and any fishing on tidal waters.
  6. Got my VA license on-line yesterday.
  7. My thoughts exactly so I put the 20s back in. I'll call the dealer today. Thanks.
  8. If you click on the Tacklebox button above, you will find a good fishing log there.
  9. Hi, I recently bought a used bass boat that came with a 2002 150 XR6. I'm going over the engine to check the types of fuses I need so I have spares handy for when "Mr. Murphy" shows up while I'm on the water. According to the Clymers Guide, the Upper and Lower Voltage Regulators are supposed to be protected with 20 amp fuses, however, I found 30 amp fuses instead. I replaced the 30amp fuses with 20 amp fuses. Any thoughts of why someone would want to use higher rated fuses? Thanks.
  10. This is a link to a feature in a recent Bassmaster Magazine in the Bass Basics Section. It might not have all the answers to lure selection but could at least steer you in the right direction. http://espn-att.starwave.com/winnercomm/outdoors/bassmaster/i/June_BassBasics.pdf Hope this helps. 11. I like that logic too.
  12. Does anyone know if Ike picked the Legend boat because he likes them (endorses them) or if Legend was the only one to make an offer? I would think that with a Classic and an AOY under his belt that he shopuld be able to get whatever he wants (Ranger aside of course since they nixed him.)
  13. Personally I like the ideas from the various points systems described. I've got a meeting coming up soon so this will come in handy. Thanks for all of your replies. S
  14. Jimmy was one of my instructors at Bassmaster University this year. He may not win or fish as much nowadays but does that really matter? He spends a lot of his time teaching others with his "text book" being nothing better than his own life experiences. He also works with Berkely designers to give them some insight for lure design and other product testing. I'd say he knows what he's talking about. Tight Lines.
  15. O-H!!! I-O!!! Go Bucks! Beat Whoever in Glendale!
  16. Many of you may not know this but Bo and Woody were great friends. Although sad, it's fitting that they'll get to watch this one together. My condolences to the Schembechler Family and UM fans everywhere.
  17. Buckeyes all the way. Eventhough UM front seven are beasts, they won't get past the Buckeye O-Line. UM will have to keep a guy on Smith the whole game and leave their secondary vulnerable to the speedy Teddy Ginn Jr. and Anthony Gonzalez. OSU's defense has been effective all year, despite losing 8 starters to last years NFL draft. It's a home game for the Buckeyes and the crowd will be rowdy. Go Bucks! Beat Michigan! OSU 24 UM 10 p.s. (Yes, I'm a proud OSU alum and slighly biased.)
  18. Yozuri Ultra Soft in 8 lb test. I also spray Reel Magic or KVDs spray on all my spooled line.
  19. My local bass club is looking into changing the way we award points for our tournaments. We currently use a point per ounce system with penalties for dead fish at weigh-in. Since my club only has about 30 members, I was thinking about a system where the winner is awarded 50 points, and each successive place is awarded one point less. Those that do not catch any fish will get 20 points less than the last place of those that did catch fish. A bonus point could be added for each pound of fish caught. I think a system like this awards a person for being consistent. I just want to see what other clubs do that might be a viable option that I can present to the general membership at out next meeting. Thanks in advance. I look forward to your replies. Tight Lines.
  20. County or city landfills have reclamation areas for all types of hazmat, batteries, etc.
  21. Raising weight in a boat will raise the center of gravity causing the boat to become less stable.
  22. Ike - Best Prepared Woo - Most direct with excellent advice Denny - great advice for "flippers" Mark Menendez - also well prepared Mike Auten - used underwater footage as a training aid, very helpful.
  23. You can't beat the fit and finish of a Bumble Bee. I've got a Pro Vee 180 and it handles the Potomac River nicely. Granted, I bought it used but for what I paid, I got a great deal.

I feel for the Mom and Pop places too. If at all possible, buy your gas from someone else (where the profit margin for gas retailers is actually very low) and get your snacks, ice, sodas, etc. from the Mom and Pop store (huge profit margins on those items). Just a thought.
  25. Great job LBH! The kids will remember that event for the rest of their lives. Who knows, you may have sparked the interest of a future Bassmaster. Well Done!
