Im with what some of you have said - their a little heavier than some, but its not extreme. And for those of you saying the 7'6" is really heavy and whippy - I haven't tried that model, but the 7'0 seems pretty decent. Its not too extremely heavy or whippy, but lets not forget...this IS a cranking rod - its not exactly supposed to be iron-stiff. preciate all the helpful input y'all! Keep em coming ...

I prefer the lazer trokar flipping hooks, either 3/0 or 4/0. I peg my sinker, then just rig the bait in normal Texas style. Hope this helps!

you should definitely try the trick worms on a shaky head. I started using this a few years back, and it quickly became my confidence bait. My favorite setup is the war eagle 3/4 oz. shaky heads with a green pumpkin trick worm.

You know Fort Pickett? There's some great fishing out there ... and yeah, the rod was originally $90, but I picked it up for $30, so I was pretty pleased.

Just picked up the 7'0, medium-heavy, clear water squarebill rod on good ol black eye friday. So far, seems like an awesome rod - but i just haven't used enough of these glass rods to give an educated opinion on em. Anybody used this rod? Id really appreciate hearing what ya think!
