  1. like I said, unless there are big girls on em
  2. Based on me and Chris' experience on LOZ last weekend, unless you're seeing big fish up on beds I wouldn't fool with sight fishing. I'd try and figure out where and what the fish that are still prespawn are biting. None of the three biggest fished weighed at BBB last weekend were taken from beds.
  3. she bit my worm first, but I set too early and chris swooped in for my sloppy seconds clayton don't delete this! haha
  4. Upper Gravois to 8mm, made a happy hour run up to 15 for some fun fishing Saturday evening
  5. Chris and I caught too many keepers to count and one 4 off her bed, but you needed to weigh a 5+ fish to make your money back. We didn't expect fish to already be on their beds doing their thing! Sunday we caught that 4 sight fishing her in the rain lol sounds fun right? Had we gone after bed fish Saturday we probably would've had a better chance at a money fish. Hell of a lot of fun though!
  6. Who all's fishing tonight? I'll be there w Drew, anybody else coming out?
  7. So now we're supposed to be hoisting up stringers of dink largemouths for the camera? I'll pass
  8. Had a buddy down on the Niangua, sounds like they saw a little friendlier water temps there but not by much. Really good or really tough depending on where you were. Probably could have caught a bunch of crappie under that moon though!
  9. Im not sure we could have fished tougher conditions at LOZ this past weekend, but we did it anyway. Roughly 5" of rain in the few days prior to Friday left all the feeder creeks in my area full of cold chocolate milk. Suffice to say those lower end fish won't really be moving shallow in the coves for another week. All-jerkbait-everything Friday focusing on channel swings and secondary points with deep water nearby. Not a single jig fish, and they weren't biting a wart as well as I hoped they would be. Out of the 6 or 7 fish we caught that day I did manage a new PB 3 lb spotted bass, but very tough fishing overall. One of the brightest full moons I've ever seen Friday night led to glassy bluebird skies Saturday morning. Despite the drastic change in conditions, Drew figured them out pretty quickly dragging a hula grub through cover. It was a humbling weekend, but we fished the weather and water we were given! Looking forward to warmer water at Stockton!
  10. Is Rodney expecting some kickback for that jerkbait color?
  11. 6.58 lb smallmouth caught on stockton this weekend: https://www.facebook.com/fishstocktonlake/photos/a.736518326366191.1073741829.148580081826688/975764515774903/?type=1&theater not a bad place to visit in the spring apparently
  12. Preach! I've had boats in my family down at LOZ since I was in a stroller, and I've never been on one that's 100% functional hah
  13. find a big cove and treat it like a lake in itself, try to figure out the pattern for that cove then cover water
  14. Same deal at LOZ. Not quite there yet but definitely not far off until they turn on.
  15. The top few feet of water has warmed up quickly due to the recent warmer weather, and is probably still warmer than the rest of the water column. A few more weeks and that warmer water should even out through the water column. Your electronics sound like they're working fine, you're just seeing the warmer water at the surface.
  16. If we get a good warm rain this Friday like they're forecasting it should help get things started.
  17. yeah ill be spending enough money and time fishing i dont need a bar but ill be bringing stuff for body shots This beaver trip is starting to sound a little suspect given the lack of beaver involved
  18. Good luck to anybody looking for a parking spot at lacygne tomorrow! Between Backlashers and every other tom dick and harry in the area, it's sure to be a merry-go-round I wonder how many guys will be throwing underspins haha
  19. send all the kc area guys the weight!
  20. Prepare yourself... The questions about the stacks running at Lacygne are coming...
