  1. Just ordered my 7'2" MH Finesse Jigs rod from TW, merry Christmas to me! Can't wait to use it! Anybody else fished one yet?
  2. Check out Local Fishing Forums > Central Bass Fishing > For Us KC Area Guys Bunch of Ned Rig fanatics those guys
  3. 2014 Biggest Local Bass Weight (or length if you didn't have a scale): 4-5lb smallmouth (guess on weight, didn't measure length ). Lure: Zara Spook. Pattern: Walkin' my doggie. Lake: El Vern. Time of Year: September.
  4. How do you like the Batwingz as a trailer? I was thinking about giving pork a shot for the first time this winter/spring (noob i know) but I'm thinking the batwingz might be the best of both worlds and less of a pain. And I'd rather not take this to the fishing tackle thread
  5. 10lb yellow power pro, 8-10 lb berkley 100% fluoro leader. I like to tie a long leader of at least 5' to lessen the likelihood of having to retie on the water. Double uni knot, 16-18 wraps on the braid side (critical end) and 8-9 wraps on the fluoro side.
  6. Which one is the 7' MH Premier?
  7. The description alone made it your best. Also how I eat bratwursts.
  8. I'd jump on these if it weren't for the holidays...
  9. Somebody got a new avatar... and it's a toad
  10. Just bought my first home with a 2 car garage... fully plan on leaving my car out in the cold once I can put a boat in my side of it Got the smoker picked out, just need to find the boat now
  11. Haha thanks man, I'm having the same problem... Didn't have a scale on me which I completely regret because she's my PB smallie, but looking back I know she went at least 4. Reminds me of those Cialis commercials... ask your doctor if your heart is healthy enough for topwater bronzebacks.
  12. I can only imagine the number of catfish enthusiasts who would kill to catch em like you do on jigs out there...
  13. I'd actually say the opposite. If it's started turning over it should get really bad pretty soon, unless you can find water that hasn't turned over yet. The turnover on LOZ can completely shut the bite down. Once it turns over you might as well wait until the winter a-rig/jerkbait bite, which usually picks up December-February. Don't forget your hand warmers. I on the other hand will be filling the freezer with slabs.
  14. What water temps were you seeing?
  15. Following up on our Saturday at Melvern, they seem to be chasing and biting lots of baits. I caught em on a squarebill, swimbait, jerkbait, ned rig duh, and even had one on a duo realis spinbait (bait ADHD). Didnt need to try so many things in the end though, the best bites came on tubes. Fished some walking baits and didn't see a single swirl, so that topwater bite may be slowing down compared to my avatar fish that mauled a spook a few weeks back, weighing in at just under 4. Like Brian had mentioned I was put in my place a few times by the zebra mussels. Had what would've easily been my two best that day break me off.
  16. Check your line too. Then check it again.
  17. Looks like fun guys, wish I coulda made it. Whenever I get a boat I think it's gonna need wifi to keep my girl entertained. Clayton, did you negotiate a new BR discount for letting Raymond win?
  18. I'd expect it to keep getting better until it gets real cold. Still waiting for this Fall jerkbait bite I always hear about...
  19. Hah I wouldn't be on here or even know the ways of the Rodney Rattler if it weren't for that man!
