  1. No rodney rattler?!
  2. Thanks for the feedback guys. FWIW I just took the wife's nail file to them and was able to remove enough of the finish to get a good cutting point.
  3. Hey guys, I've noticed several threads on here asking the question, "Do you guys sharpen your hooks?" What I haven't noticed on here is anybody asking what people use to sharpen their hooks. I just purchased an expensive new jerkbait and the trebles are duller than expected and the bigger problem is that the jerkbait is perfectly balanced with these factory hooks, so I'm NOT going to replace them (please no suggestions to just buy new hooks). My only thought so far is to buy a jewelry grade file and give the ends a few swipes. What do you guys use or suggest? ~tight lines
  4. Takin it easy. Most likely some good ol boys incapable of determining sarcasm through a keyboard.
  5. @masterbass don't let one negative quote out of 16 misguide you, inline spinners can really excel when the bite gets tough. I caught a 3# last year on a white 1/8 oz. Worden's Vibric Roostertail.
  6. Bryant's Osage Outdoors is far and away the best bait and tackle experience I've had down at LOZ. Although it's located in Laurie off 5 HWY (not Osage Beach, I know) I felt obligated to mention them. Best selection and reliable hours I've ever found down there.
  7. Amazing level of detail, all the way down to those gills! Well done.
  8. x2. Bass are for the lake, crappie are for the freezer.
  9. Here in Kansas the eastern red cedars grow like weeds, are tough as nails, and usually 5-9' tall making them an ideal candidate to sink for brush piles. I've never sunk artificial cover before but I know there are some firm believers in that as well. What are your guys' favorite types of cover (not structure) to fish?
  10. check out my avatar
  11. There's a reason you see Shimano reels with less bearings at the same price point as reels with more bearings. Not all bearings are created equal.
  12. I'm grabbing mine this Friday and pairing it with a new Sahara 3000. Couldn't be more excited for April, since it's the new March.
  13. Sounds like a solid design, I love the idea of using it as a tool to present soft plastics in a way they haven't been seen before. I can't speak for what the up front costs would be but it sounds like you're onto something that would sell!
  14. Hey Blue what are some of your favorite trailers? I've had some good days in the past without using a trailer, but if it ever thaws out Im going to try yum dingers
  15. I'm picking mine up tomorrow at the Spring classic. Trading in a 20 year old Zebco beater for $20 off a Mojo... Priceless.
  16. Check out the 7' M Fast St. Croix Premier Split Grip. Even comes with a 2-piece option. I've used the 7' ML Fast 2-piece split grip on trout waters from a canoe and loved it. Tight lines! http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/131685-what-spinning-rod/
  17. I'm probably going to buy the 6'8" medium extra fast Mojo for small finesse jigs. As some people have already said the Mojos are a tad heavier than their rating, but I feel good about a heavier medium blank with an extra fast tip. Bang for the buck and durability are also major factors of consideration for me.
  18. Blakemore's Rock'N-Runner chatterbaits are being discontinued. Cabelas has them marked down to $3.88 from $6.29. I've done really well with white & white/chart in previous years. Figured I'd share. Cheers.
  19. Blakemore's Rock'N-Runner chatterbaits are being discontinued. Cabelas has them marked down to $3.88 from $6.29. I've done really well on some lakes around here with white/chart in previous years.
  20. Looking forward to using crawfish for the first time on my jigs this spring.
  21. I'll bite. What would you have in mind?
  22. So it sounds like the 7' M Plastics Mojo was pretty stout for a M? I may have just found my new finesse jig rod . Thanks!
  23. I'm not sure that's the only difference, the Mojos are also supposed to be technique specific. And St. Croix makes split grip Premiers ^^^.
