I agree with senko, But I would add going at dawn and dusk with topwater lures. Spooks, frogs, torpedos. pop R'S. If watching a fish explode on topwater doesn't get the blood pumpin' you better get a bodybag ;D hope this helps. Stroz

For me if there not taking one I run the gambit. typically I run three rods one spinnerbait, a crankbait usually tiger fire to start and either a plastic or a jig n pig. But I also have limited room on my boat or I'd have more set ups.This is probabley the most obvious answer but it's what I would do hope it helps. good luck Stroz

We had rain in the morning till about 1pm was about 60 and now the sun is out and it's about 65, 68 I'm curious does warm rain speed up the process of warming the lakes and ponds. I would think so. Rain being warmer then lake temp just curious the warmer the better ;D still cold up northeast this way Thanks Stroz

cool I'm psyched cut the new seats and floor boards out and primed them last night putting them in tomorrow. ;D Plan on christening it saturday will finaly make it to those down trees I've been drooling over.One more question I will be cruising with my wife and kids with the added weight does that make a diffrence on the 40 or 50 lbs of thrust also what type of battery do you use and how long abouts will it last. I need to pick up a transom mount trolling motor and it will be my only motor on the boat I have limited funds.So I was wondering for the cash does it make a huge diffrence between 40 and 50 lbs of thrust and what exactly does that mean? The boat is a merc minnow 8ft long and about 4 wide quite light this will be my first motor buy so any info would help thanks in advance. thanks again Stroz

I just picked up a merc minnow. ;D it's small 8ft. but I'm getting off the shore ;)Just need to pick up a trolling motor.Was curious if anyone has owned one and how it faired. I can't find anything online about it so any info is great if you had a motor on it what size. thanks for all the suggestions. all my kids want to do is catch fish bass, pickeral ,perch usually we fish for the first hour then they explore while I keep fishing till there interests perks back up.When I was little my dad bought all the fishing stuff and would drop us off at the pond or we'd ride our bikes. thats why I like fishing with my boys so much. thanks again Stroz

I fish with my two boys 5 and 7 all the time. You guys always seem to have great advice any good tips for getting the boys on more fish and losing less lures? I plan on trying out plastic alot this year seems like t-rigging anything weedless for them should save a bunch of $$$ but all I really care about is getting them on some fish also we don't own a boat so it's mostly shore fishing for us. thanks in advance for your input.
