Catch & Release
When It comes to bass its C&R, but that's just because I don't care for their taste all that much. Now when it comes to crappie, yellow perch, snakeheads or catfish, let's heat up the oil. YUM YUM

NEW Mojo Bass rods
I have the top water 6'8" MXF that double duties as a jerk bait rod,and I feel it's a great rod very balanced and light. Now that they have the scIII blank they're essentially an avid with different guides and seat. I think you'll like it, I'm going to get another one for pitching..

Jerkbait Rod $100 - 150
I'm sorry I should've said 6'8" MXF top water, that's why I said I wasn't sure if I'd like it. After using it a lot I've found that I can really make a jerk bait shine with this rod. The tip allows me to be able to work the bait back and forth like a walk the dog and the bait hardly moves forwards at all which keeps the bait in the strike zone longer and drives the fish nuts. This rod serves double duty as I will use it for poppers, pencils and walk the dog stuff. Oh I will add that I wouldn't go with the older model make sure it the scIII blank and will fish just like an avid, the only difference is guides and reel seat from what I can see I probably shouldve also added my buddy I fish with a lot has an avid that 6'8" mf that I've fished with and I like the XF tip over the fast tip just because I feel I can work the bait better with less movement of the rod.

Jerkbait Rod $100 - 150
I have the new Mojo jerkbait/top water rod and so far I love it, they're leaps and bounds above the old mojos. I bought it towards the end of last year, I wasn't sure how much I was going to like it when I first got it. But now that I used it a bunch I really like it a lot.

Spro RK Crawler
Alright guys who's fishing them and how do you like them? I need to pick up a few cranks for the 10'-15' range and I kinda like the look of these guys, especially the phantom green and the phantom brown. Well the red's pretty killer looking too, but they look to be fish catchers. Thanks in advance for the replies.

Question for Costa Owners
I don't know how you were able to get Maui Jim to just send out a set of lens'. I owned nothing but Maui Jims for many years, and have sent probably 5 pairs of sunglasses back to have lens repaired. Not one time would they just send out the lens, I had to send in the frames in with a check for $100. They explained to me that since they give a lifetime warranty on the frames that they wouldnt allow a customer to change lens. I have now switched over to Costas and wish I would've long ago as they are better glasses for fishing. Side by side my 580g Costas allow me to see deeper into the water then my Maui Jims. Other then that they're probably pretty equal though

Question for Costa Owners

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Yea I thought the craw color was sweet so I had to get it, but I really think the secret gill color is going to tear them up. That one is the 1.2 and in the super clear reservoirs I fish at, I think they'll love it.

How To Bed Fish?
Mattslures flat tailed bluegill is deadly when bed fishing, they sit with the tail up at an angle. They look just like a bluegill raiding the nest, and the bass usually won't leave it there long. I cast out past the bed and pop the bait right into the bed, and usually they grab it immediately.

Swim jig and Chatterbait color selection
As stated earlier it's a about water clarity, and since the reservoirs I mainly fish are super clear it's generally green pumpkin or blue gill. For some reason black and blue just don't work for me, probably just a confidence thing.

Does Any1 use BPS Extreme Worm Binders?
I use a browning worm bag not the binder, it works ok. I have the smaller of the two they make, and I'll probably buy a couple more so I can have one for drop shot stuff one for worms and one for trailers. To me it's easier then one bag with everything jammed in there.

3 Bank Charger Bass Pro XPS solid blue?
Are your batteries too cold, most chargers won't charge a battery if it's too cold. I have the same charger as you but I haven't had any issues with it at all. I thought I read in the manual when I installed mine that it won't charge if it's too hot or too cold. Good luck I hope you get it figured out...

POLL: We need a Pond/Bank fishing forum!!
Even though I rarely bank fish anymore I voted yes. After checking out the resume forum and realizing that it hardly even gets any posts, most are years old. The custom rod forum isn't used a whole lot either. I'd be willing to bet that if a bank fishing forum was added it would get more traffic then either of the forums mentioned above. Just my .02, besides would could it hurt?

Squarebills
Last year it was a KVD 2.5 in bluegill, it absolutely tore them up

BPS Classic - dissapointing turnout
Honestly I've been disappointed with BPS for a couple years now. I only go there if someone gives me a gift card or if I need something now.

Buying a 1542 Tracker
I have a 1542 right now that I use as a reservoir boat and its all electric. I run 2-55s transom mounts for travel and a 55 bow mount for fishing. I also have decks in my boat and I'm running 4-6volt Golf cart batteries in series for my travel motors and a 12 volt for the bow mount. With me and a buddy plus everything else we travel about 4 to 5 mph with 2-55s, this is with a good amount of added weight. I can also say that the difference between 1-55 and 2-55s is only about 1 mph believe it or not, but the batteries last longer running two motors versus one.

broke my rod this weekend
The new Mojos are made with the sc111 blank which is the he same as the avids. This change was made the end of last year, they're a solid rod. I actually own a couple of them along with a couple avids .

Do you need it? Probably not , but I will say that at one time I was cranking with a fast action rod and didn't see any issues. But then I ran into a smoking deal on a St Croix Avid cranking rod which is M/H Moderate action, and I absolutely love it. I can't even remember the last time I lost a fish on it, yes I've lost some but very few. When I was using a fast action rod I was losing a lot on cranks. Get one and try it I think you'll like it...- Trapping Crawfish
If your lucky enough to catch some try steaming them as we in MD would do with crabs, and make sure you use old bay on them. If you do this you'll probably never boil a crawfish again, I promise...- swimbait rods
Get the Okuma guide select Xheavy, you won't be disappointed. Take the extra money you save and buy a swimbait with it. - delete
