Got my first replica today!!!!!!
If you do give Rob Smith @ R&S Taxidermy a shout he's in New Milford Connecticut. He's also on FB and the internet, in all it took about 4 months to complete. He sent me a ton of progress pics along the way to make sure I was happy with everything, which was cool.

Maryland's Who's who!
Found someone's fishing gear today!!!! I was working in Baltimore city today and noticed a book bag behind some bushes up against the house I was working on, when I climbed back there and got it open. I realized it is full of fishing tackle, so if you had your bag stolen while in Baltimore city or know someone whose was I may have it. If some one can describe the bag and its contents your more then welcome to have it back. Please share this so maybe this stuff can get back to the rightful owner, if it's not claimed in a week or so the bag and it's contents will go to a young and upcoming angler. Thanks in advance...

Gotem Coach Swimbait ???
I was thinking about picking up one of the floating 7" real gills, and before I spend the money I'm hoping to here some reviews. So if you've fished one please give me your opinions or pros and cons. Thanks in advance for the help, here's a link to the one I want. I'm wanting a floater so I can swim it across some grass flats.

Best jerkbaits-value and production
I use visions all the time and never lost a fish because of bent hooks, and I fish them on 10# seaguar abrasix. They just seem to catch more fish for me then the others pointers and duo included, I own some of each just dont seem to do as well with them. To me value is also figured into how well they catch fish, I'd much rather throw a $25 lure that always catches fish then a $10 that sometimes catches fish. When it comes to jerkbaits I believe the more realistic they are the better. Bass will swim right up and just stare at a jerk most of the time before they hit it. Unlike a spinnerbait or a crankbait that gets hit purely out of reaction.

Deps 175 ??
Awesome info thank you, I picked a couple SS floaters for pretty cheap. I'm guessing that there is a plastic plug in the cavity where the weight goes for floatation purposes, at least that's what it feels like. Where do you get the tungsten putty, is that a Home Depot item? Thanks again for the help. Oh they are the newer models.

Deps 175 ??
Hey guys I was hoping someone might be able to tell me if all 175 can be weight tuned? I know I can add lead tape, split rings and that kind of stuff, But I was under the impression that you can remove the skin and add weights somewhere on the bait. Which leads me to the second part of my question and that is does a floating 175 have the same provisions to add weights? I ask this because I want to pick up a few and I was hoping that I can just get a floater and add what weight is needed when it's needed. Thanks in advance for all the help

White Deer
They look to be albino, if they were piebald their hooves would most likely be black like a normal whitetail. their eyes look like they may be light colored as well. Here's a link on the difference between them. http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php?topic=44684.0

If it hasn't been washed after a year of fishing in it, throw it in the trash and get another one (YUCK)... Otherwise hand wash and hang to dry.

Why does LC use junk hooks?
Sure you can, just add a couple split rings to the hook eye.
