SHIMANO JDM REEL REPAIR
Sorry should have clarified, the line when tied to the spool, I didn’t pull it tight enough at the spool end, which cause enough slack to caused the spool of line to spin on the metal spool of the reel. Hope that made sense I didn’t use backing at all, I have another Shimano DC reel with braid with no issues. I tied a tighter knot on that reel, guess I didn’t double check the knot on this one. I will consider the backing suggestion in the future, thanks for all the good info

SHIMANO JDM REEL REPAIR
So just wanted to pass onto the group some great info and experiences I recently had. Months ago, I ordered a Shimano Scorpion DC reel from Japan. I was fishing with it and caught a lot of fish, then one day I had issues with the drag and it wasn't working and I had to hand line in a bass I had just hooked. So when I got home I took it apart, but should have waited till the next day. Being tired from fishing all day doesn't help. Lets just say I broke and scratched up parts of the reel. After a search on GOOGLE for SHIMANO JDM Servicing in the USA, I called and spoke with https://www.facebook.com/HisTackleBoxShop/ Hi's Tackle in San Francisco. After explaining what the problem was and the parts I wanted to order, they were un able to order those parts, but suggested emailing Japan Tackle. I was satisfied with the results and was in the process of emailing Japan Tackle, when Hi's called back on my cellphone and explained that my reel was not broken, but my line was tied to loosely so, it was causing it to spin. Wow, that made sense, and the fact that they called me back to help me was very impressive. I will definitely stop by when I visit family out there. So Kayo from Japan Tackled emailed me the next business day and sent me the schematic and I was able to place the order for the parts I needed. Great customer service by both parties I dealt with. My parts will be here in about two weeks. Thank you Kayo and Hi's Tackle, great customer service!!!

Maryland's Who's who!
Try Mattawoman Creek, further down Indian Head Hwy at the end. Free boat launch and great bass and snakehead fisheries.

New to snakehead... and fresh water fishing
Search youtube, the snakeheads you have there in Florida are Bulleye Snakeheads. I've only seen videos of people catching them from the shoreline in the small canals
