  7. I have been using lead bullet weights on my texas rigged plastics for years. Now everybody has been telling me to switch to tungsten weights I know that they are very expensive What are the advantages of tunsten?
  8. Great hook but very expensive. If you are the competitive tournament angler I would suggest buying these hooks. But if you are on a budget, lazersharp, owner, and gamakatsu work great.
  9. dough, bread, corn or even grass works great. Just make sure the bait is floating on the surface.
  10. a swim jig is a lighter jig with a bigger hook and smaller head. They are designed for a fast retrieve. Just think of a swim jig as a spinnerbait without the blades. I just think they are made to add weight and a skirt to your swimbait. I always put a soft bodied swim bait such as a skinny dipper or swimmin fluke as a trailer. I would either use a black and blue or a shad type color on my swim jigs. They will catch you some big bass! good luck
  11. 15 lb fluoro is great for fluke fishing weightless. Although I would switch to a spinning rod to fish a weightless or shakey head rigged trick worm.
  12. dont use a shaky head in hydrilla. Try using a soft plastic beaver or creature type bait with a 3/8 to 1 ounce bullet weight in your line and just flip the bait into those pockets. floating topwater frogs should also work good over those mats
