  1. Wouldn't do anything except replace the bushings in the level wind with bearings and add Daiwa cork knobs and a graphite handle.

Power Pro and Daiwa for braid...
  3. 30 definitely, 35 is to big for bass fishing.
  4. I haven't tried the Curado I yet but I have a Tatula and Tatula Type-R and the are both outstanding reels.
  5. I have always had great success with this line.
  6. I would go with Yo-Zuri Hybrid. Probably 8 lbs for the spinning and 12 lbs for the bait caster.
  7. I have used white, sexy shad, black and blue etc... In those conditions with great success. As far as retrieve speed that will vary. But I use a 7.3:1 reel and usually keep a nice steady retrieve. For hook set no need to cross their eyes. Subtle turn of the hips and that usually does the trick for me. They will hook their selves most of the time.
  8. Spinner baits or swim jigs....
  9. Northstar jigs and spinner baits and Reaction Innovantions plastics are 3 of my favorites.
  10. I wouldn't go lower then 30lbs braid on a bait caster.
  11. I have a couple Pinnacle reels and they are amazing reels. I haven't tried a rod yet but they are awesome reels. I have the Xi-HS Hand Tuned and the Optimus LTE.
  12. By any chance did you happen to remove the one way needle bearing from the handle side plate?
  13. I like Reaction Inovations Skinny Dipper and Little Dipper, Kinami 4 inch single tail grub are 2 of my favorites. Yes I do match the trailer to the swim jig.
  14. If only looking a BPS i would look at the Shimano Crucial and even look at the BPS Johnny Morris signature series rods. The Duckett rod would be a great choice also.
  15. I always use the Plaomar and have not had problems with this knot and fluorocarbon. But I do make sure that i really moisten it up before tightening it and I do retie after every 3 to 4 fish.
