Tips On Fishing A Lake I've Be Getting Skunked At
There is a lake close to my work that I usually fish when i get off. I've been there the last 3 work days, and got nothing but a bite on a magnum fluke (greenish color), but lost it. The thing is this lake gets lots of pressure, mostly from bobber guys, so I try to get to spots where nobody is. I'm also fishing from the bank. I think the fish may be spooked a bit and may be in deeper waters. I've fishing all the normal types of cover, and nothing??? Maybe they are there, but it does seem like they are deeper. This lake also has a muskie stock, to control the crappie, so it would be awesome to catch one of them. Temp today, should be around the mid 80s with scattered t-storms. Water is fairly clear around the banks, but not so much out deeper. The bottom is pretty rocky, with lots of cover. underground logs, etc... So with the info I've given, though it may be vague, any tips would be helpful. Types of bait? Color? Action? fish slow/fast? anything? thanks in advance fellas

Jig Fishing Question
The other day, I was fishing from the shore and i started to get hung on the bottom. After loosing one lure, and getting ung up on another, i decided to get in the ater and free it up. Well i noticed the bottom is really rocky. On the shore line there is a great deal of grass, some part are really heavy and othe parts of the weeds and such are not. These reason I was using the approiate jig for heavy cover, though the cover may nor be that heavy. Do you guys think I would have better luck with a football style jig head? Also, was wondering can swim this jig, like a "disignated" swim jig? You know the ones that market as such?

Ever Use A Fluke Or Sluggo As A Swim Jig Trailer?
Well if I was just lucky, which,I probably was, I was gonna use an icredi-craw from culprit (I think) which matchs my black / blue jigs. Then I was, gonna use a 7' ribbon worm which matches my other color. I do have two chigger craws left, but kinda wanted to conserve them if I can. I was also gonna try out some,of those havoc slop craws as well for thick, grass and weeds, which brings me to another topic I should, post

Project Glock
I *** you, with the ammo thing at least. Keep your eyes peeled for .223 or the 5.56' and give me a holla if you can come across and decide deals...55 gr would be preferred as I gotta zero in some new sights I got more my are. What kind of 1911 do you have? I've alway tod new shooters that if they continue to shoot, and get the bug, they"ll get or want a 1911 at some point. IMHO, beat pistol design ever made. Gotta lov that single action! I own two. An old army issue, and my main target gun. Another colt 1991 that has about $1200 of money but into it. It's not a custom, but has a very nice action and trigger job. Plus all Wilson parts, mad for USPSA. smooth as hell, 3# trigger, and has been more reliable then any pistol I've ever had. It will feed empty brass. Not the prettiest gun in the world, mbut that's because I run it hard. To me holster wear, and nicks in dings give it character. I'll try and post a pic soon.

Ever Use A Fluke Or Sluggo As A Swim Jig Trailer?
I see your point but that is the exact reason I wanna but some time in with it. I trip th scurt back to give the bait enough to all the jerk bait to do its thing.mi might stop, let it sink, then continue a somewhat erratic retrieve. I guess it,may not be designed for using, jerks, but maybe it will be a new trend...haha. Seriously though I, keep u guys posted on how it doesd

Ever Use A Fluke Or Sluggo As A Swim Jig Trailer?
I've heard people say this isn't effective. But tonight, I went to my local lake using a black and blue swim jig witha raddle, and I used a 4.5" black and silver sluggo as a trailer. I,ha d maybe a 20 min window to fish, which didn't matter because all I want to do was try out my new gear. Well I did catch a decent size LM during this time, which got me thinking. Maybe this can be effective. So tomorrow, I'm gonna use the same bait setup, along with a fluke on my other most used swimj jig. I think I'll fish these two exculsively, to,see, what kinda results I get.

Took My Orra Back And Exchanged It For The Revo S
This past Friday I went to the local Dicks sporting, and purchased a new baitcaster set up. Decided after doing a little bit more research, I came to the conclusion that I should of purchased the revo s instead. Glad I did! Seems like a better quality reel, that will last. My question is, how often to you guys perform matenance on this reels? Am I good to go out the box, or should I strip it and re lube everything? Keep in mine my mechanical abilities are very proficient. I'm used to doing this with pistols, particularly 1911s in order to tune them for smoother action, or doing trigger work as well. Needless to say, this type of thing does not intimidate me at all. The reel feels very smooth out the box, so I'm not sure this is a priority at the moment. What do u guys think?

New Manufacturer Of 1911S
Exactly what topwater addict said. Buy it because its cool, or quality and craftmenship, but not an investment. Like automobiles, as soon as its bought it looses value. Now if the gun is a collectible they can go up in value. For instance, Since we are talking about 1911s, i have an old army issued colt that I won't shoot anymore because it keeps going up in value the older it gets. It's in very good shape so I don't want to bring it out to much.

What Gun For Concealed Carry??
Whatever gun you can shoot the best with, and handle well. I'd rather hit a vital with a 22 then miss with at 50 cal.

Project Glock
Spend the money on ammo and go shoot that thing! Haha...seriously though, nice piece. I own a g19 that's been collecting dust, due to my 1911 being so sweet!!!
