  1. I have caught my fair share of bass while panfishing with pink plastics, and while drop shotting pink trout worms for walleye. Mostly in the springtime. Definitely give them a shot!
  2. I mostly use xraps... Biggest reason being i catch fish on them and i cant afford $15 baits. I will have to try a "good" jerkbait one of these days.
  3. If still available, ill take them and toss along a specific shoreline that is riddled with pike right now. We shall see how fast they sink full of holes! Then i will cut them open with the dremel and post what is inside them for others to see.
  4. Youll hear back. Might want to contact them by phone as well. I had a problem with a original s6 bill that broke off the bait. I sent them an email and they replied and said they would replace it. About 2 days later a box came with 3 new baits, a hat, and a handwritten apology for the breakage.
  5. I like 30#.
  6. My 2, 4, & 6 yozuri hybrid sinks. I know because i fish a lot of float rigs for crappie and in a couple minutes the slack is well under the surface.
  7. Im not aware of a copoly that floats. To the best of my knowledge they all sink.. At least all the ones i have used sank. For the line, im very happy with seaguar red label 15 for flipping. Broke off a big smallie on a jig last week though so i am upping that rod to 17. In the lines defense, its been on that reel for over a year. I could not tell a difference between invizx and red label.
  8. That reel has been on sale all year long about everywhere I've looked. GM, d1cks, tw, cabelas, etc. Wonder if they are discontinuing it?
  9. Says 100% satisfaction guaranteed.. not that it means much anymore.. but heck I might give it a shot! Probably not premium cork, might even be a synthetic cork.
  10. Dont eat any farm raised fish from the grocery store then... You wouldnt like what is in the commercial fish food.
  11. Its private waters so if they say you cant keep them then you cant keep them. DNR wouldnt have any jurisdiction, it would be theft so the local PD or sheriff would have to be called. With that being said, C&R only is not good for most fisheries. I fish ponds and lakes that are c&r only for bass. Guess what happens? People take the panfish and leave the bass... So its full of thousands of skinny 10-12" bass and very few bigger than that. Most people thing their good lakes are due to bass fisherman releasing their fish, but i say its due to people taking out the eaters and reducing the number of hungry mouthes. My local Iowa lakes have went to poop since the DNR went to 15" minimum instead of 12". Now people cant keep the 12-14" eaters and have to keep the breeders. Most lakes are to where you can catch all the 12" bass you want and maybe 1/100 are over 15".
  12. Parabolic flippin stick with 20# fluoro.
  13. Ive had 3 rods come in the cardboard triangle. One from ebay, and 2 from d1cks sporting goods. All were broken and all were replaced by the seller.
  14. So only the most experienced know the best ways? That is asinine. New techniques for completing tasks are thought of every day, not only by the most experienced.
  15. Lock it so the mod doesnt get proven wrong? That is what is wrong with forums these days... Good discussion so far, different opinions but both have merit. I personally dont see how a dremel could harm a bearing unless the bearing is full of sand.
  16. My premier 5'ulm is a broomstick. Ive used it to vertical jig 1/4 walleye jigs. I would not suggest it at all. In fact i had a buddy redo the rod with a new reel seat and light wire guides and i still hate it.
  17. The accurist is a superb flipping/pitching reel. Id say a standard 7'mhf would be what you want. Put a senko ot t-rigged craw on it and follow up your frog. 15#-17# fluoro or 30-50# braid.
  18. Either the order didnt go through or your email inbox is messed up.
  19. Owner ultraheads really are great.
  20. Sort of like a 6" zipper worm. I catch a lot of bass by accident while fishing for walleye with ringworms, moxies, and pulse-r.
  21. Pinch the barbs down, wont hurt the fish if snagged.
  22. Spiderwire is pure junk. If you like it, just wait until you try a good fluoro! 15# is my favorite all-around fluoro. Works for about anything.
  23. Hop up to a 6'6-6'9. I used to fish with 4.5-5' ul and thought they were great, until i tried a longer rod. Much easier to cast, and way easier to control the bait and fish. I suggest the st. Croix panfish 6'9ULF. Its the last UL you will ever buy. Ill never go panfishing without it.
  24. You dont need anything special for SB cranks. Just a med or medhvy, probably mh for 1/2oz, graphite rod with some bend to it. You dont want a broomstick. If you are throwing deep divers then that is different. I bet you have a rod that will work just fine. Use 14-17# mono/fluoro anf youll be fine.
