  1. I'm stuck on sub 1lbers.
  2. I'm amused that a 4oz bottle of KVD L&L conditioner ends up costing me $60 with 2 day shipping. :|
  3. You should be able to handle it just fine. You'll want a tranny cooler and good brake pads and fluid like others have mentioned. I used to have an S2000, and there is a guy on the S2000 forums that tows more than just track tires with his... I think you'll be fine.
  4. I really like Senkos. I started t-rigging them but at this point I have more confidence in the wacky rig. The action makes me want to jump in and bite it.
  5. I fish my wacky rigged Senkos the same way I fish my T-rigged weightless Senkos. Slow. Let them fall, let them sit, bring them up and let them fall again.
  6. I saw some big fish jumping at Bull Run on Sunday. Unfortunately I was on the wrong side.
  7. I bought Real Magic over the weekend. It works... sort of... but then it washes off quickly. Like other's have said, it's just silicone spray. It will be useful for other things but I'm going to pick up some KVD conditioner tonight and treat my line.
  8. From the shore it definitely is slow. I can't speak for the guys on boats, but I assume it's slow as well... only with more options. Still, it's nice to get out and fish. I have had luck catching dinks at Lake Ridge Marina.
  9. I woke up late this morning and made it to Bull Run around 7:30 AM. I didn't have any luck all the way up to noon, but I did enjoy hiking the trail so it wasn't a total loss.
  10. Hiked all up and down the trail a Bull Run from around 7:30 to noon. I think I showed up too late. Nothing. Starting next weekend I'll be going out in the canoe.
  11. I'm probably going to be working the shore at bull run tomorrow. I was at lake ridge marina this evening without much luck at all. Senkos, caught a little dink. Had one pretty solid bite but didn't get a good hook set.
  12. Hit BPS today. Tried a lot of different reels and rods but ended up with the PQ/Carbonlite combo. I got RH 6.4:1 and 7' MH. Very happy with my purchase. The balance is great and the rod and reel perform very well. I'm happy with my purchase and I don't feel bad at all about spending $159 for it. Felt just as good, if not better, than some of the more expensive options. I took it out today and also brought my cheapo Quantum Octane combo. After casting with the PQ I picked up the Quantum since i had a wacky senko on it... Felt like junk. I made the one cast, reeled it back in, and set it down. I doubt I will ever use that rod and reel again. Thanks for the advice, guys. I appreciate it.
  13. This is how I currently transport my cheap rods. I am going to start getting a little more spendy with my equipment so I need to come up with some way to better protect them from damage. I might make a clamp-on rod holder/separator that I mount to the rear strut tower brace which would route the rods between the seats, with the tips ending up near the rear view mirror. We'll see.
  14. I wouldn't mind being confronted by certain PETA representatives... like Eva Mendes or Alicia Silverstone.
  15. 99% of the time my Senko strikes are on very slack line when it's falling. The only indication of a strike I get in that situation is watching the line. If I can see it, I can see it pop before I feel a thing. That's when I know to reel down and set the hook.
  16. I like to see it when fishing Senkos. When I can, usually I can see a strike when the line pops. But I guess it's not that big of a deal, and I'm just trying to buy more stuff I don't need.
  17. I'll probably just stick with the Yo-Zuri. I like it so far and it hasn't given me any problems. Sometimes it's difficult to see, though.
  18. Water level appeared to be "normal" when I was at Lake Ridge on Wednesday.
  19. I was going to go, but you're right... it was HOT! What type of line are you guys using on baitcasting gear? I'm using Yo-Zuri Hybrid 12# right now and it's been working well, but since I'm adding rods/reels I have been thinking about braid. Maybe 50# power pro with a fluoro leader if I need it. Would probably be nice around trees and grass and such. Thinking a high vis braid might help with me actually being able to watch my line, too.
  20. Heading to BPS this Saturday to check some things out. We'll see what I come back with.
  21. So boring! But productive. I want to try some jig fishing soon.
  22. Perhaps, but I love being in the store. Plus I want to get a feel for a variety of rods and reels before I pull the trigger.
  23. Heading down to Bass Pro Shops Saturday to get a new rod and reel. Most likely the Pro Qualifier and Carbonlite combo.
