  1. The Old Town Is okay, I've Seen It At field and stream and it's expensive. Also you have to adjust speed by hand,so no standing and trolling.
  2. Sorry I thought I was on right forum... Yeah the wheel design is great and useful for me.
  3. Just learned about these today and they look nice. Anyone experience one? What are the options for trolling motors as I have bad shoulders. Nucanoe has a bracket for foot operated tm but I wanted to check all my options
  4. My recent night tournament was won by a guy drop shotting. Quite a few bags were caught with drop shot
  5. BAM and FLW. Bam is quarterly while flw monthly.
  6. I have a 7'7" medium regular action tatula rod that I got for a steal. I use it for medium and deep crankbaits but for the most part I haven't needed to use those baits this year. The rod is quality and I feel guilty about it sitting unused. What other techniques do yall think I could use it for?
  7. Most deep divers are roughly 1oz. There isn't a cranking rod in the lineup that can handle that. I have the 7'7" medium regular action and my 1oz baits really strain it. 3/4oz would be pushing it.
  8. Powroznik, crews, and Ike should be solid picks
  9. You paid for a product you did not receive. Hurts resale value of rod. Ask for replacement if it bothers you.
  10. Interesting info. May have to act upon it and get the 6/0
  11. Put em in a pot of water and slowly turn the heat up or else they will hop out. Afterwards put some hot sauce on em with a side of cornbread.
  12. My 30+ ipt reels probably weren't the problem. In daytime I rarely lose a fish. It just wasn't our night. Other anglers in the club noted similar experiences. I can understand losing one here or there. But over a dozen between boater and non boater is a beat down not a competition.
  13. These bass were airborne within 3 seconds of being hooked. No chance to tire them and they were on a long line. Those fish were indeed "hot".
  14. Black and yellow is good for muddy/stained water and the colors contrast significantly as the bait rolls on retrieve. Think of the bait as flashing between black and yellow. Like a strobe light for muddy water. Parrot color is just a sunfish perch imitators for stained to tannic water. Good for medium/deep cranking. Too flashy of a color in my opinion for shallow clear water.
  15. Oh I was wrenching on em like it was my job.
  16. Had a night tourny yesterday and hooked into 10 fish including a couple solid fish. I landed one. Same story for my boater. As soon as we hooked em they shot to surface and wouldn't stop jumping. Had one bass jump 3 times in a second without breaking water surface on way back down. Braid, copoly, fc. Xfast, fast, moderate action rods. Loose and tight drags. Single hooks, trailer hooks and trebles. Rod in water before jump. I've never seen so many lost fish. Any advice or se la vie?
  17. Oh that's cool, thanks. Those gamakatsu hooks on spros are unbendable. I've tried even with heavy duty pliers. Is there a trick or do yall just bend the hook point out?
  18. Derek remitz disappointed. He has solid success on these fisheries. I'm done with Brett Hite too. He is too inconsistent and burns me. Like any fantasy sport, you HAVE to avoid inconsistent players. Yeah he may score 3 TDS week 7 but he will follow up with 3 games and zero TDs. Powroznik and Wellman were solid picks even tho Nate fell off a bit today.
  19. Ajay, can you post a picture? BPS won't load photos on my phone. My dad used trailer hooks on his frog a couple days ago and nailed them. Said he had no issue with grass. My issue is that most of my tournaments are on lakes with laydowns and shoreline brush I skip into and throw over.
  20. I've never been able to bend the hooks
  21. Anyone know where I can find 5/0 replacement frog hooks? I like spro frogs but hookup ratio is terrible (they really aren't the softest) while action and colors are fantastic. I upgraded the popping frog from 3/0 to 4/0 and almost never miss a fish. However their regular frog and shad come with 4/0. Owner makes a 6/0 but I'm afraid it will be too large.
