  1. Fell 12 feet headfirst onto concrete Not sure how but suffered multiple injuries
  2. Any of you with Luke Clausen may want to drop him...he suffered a freak accident
  3. Great info ITT My next question is that the 1st ripping rap picture is similar to spro but 2nd pick the rap is smaller than others. Leads me to believe 2nd pic is the 1/4oz and that there isnt much difference in size. Ultimately the wider body can become tiresome to fish while the duo realis has little water resistance. Im certainly looking forward to using my damiki vault
  4. You use the most forward linetie eyelet correct? Recently read an article talking about the bladebait being underrated all year long
  5. I actually have a vault and thought of using it but didnt. No rattles and not sure if they come in red. Also nit sure how well they cast in windy conditions
  6. Tackle warehouse has almost no vibrations left in stock and have deleted the other color options The gfix is only available in 3/4 and the color options have been dwindling....have seen this before on TW for duo realis
  7. Do yall have suggestions for thin lipless crankbaits? I had been using duo realis but it appears they are phasing them out. I have a spro aruku shad but the wider body catches a lot more grass than the duo making it harder to fish efficiently. I seem to remember the xcaliburs being pretty thin and may check out the new booyahs, but do yall have any other suggestions?
  8. Swimjig head as in skirt/weedguard? Well its hard to find 1/8 oz swimjigs first of all. Secondly the bulk of the skirt defeats the purpose of the small swimbait. I recently discovered that a 90° linetie ballhead jig can make its way through brush pretty easily given you dont allow slack for it to roll over under a branch. Basically ballhead jig is a minimalist approach and the open hook gives better hookups on the lighter rods you need to throw them on. They also perform better when swinging them by pilings or dropping down on fish
  9. So KVD tell us about your 2019 Classic winning pattern "Well I was just run and gunning looking for floating deer carcasses and then bouncing a jig off of them, there werent too many in the lake but the ones I found would replinish every night"
  10. Choose friends wisely
  11. Every spring I discover a dead deer or two in the water. Yesterday after work I went fishing and everyone was out fishing at a local WMA and everyone said that nobody has caught anything all day. I find a laydown with a deer carcass on it and catch 1 off the laydown and 2 others in the immediate vicinity. My thoughts are this; surely the carcass attracts crawdads by the boatload and henceforth bass. Is this a legitimate "pattern"?
  12. Sigh. I think I organized the tournament in my head as after the BASS event...planned to pick team after Sabine...sabine didnt happen and it threw me off.
  13. Ugh, didn't even pick a team. I've been so swamped lately. I had been doing really well overall too. Makes me feel sick.
  14. Going after bull reds? I was going to criticize but actually I may buy some large sluggos to dance over lily pad fields
  15. A. Elam B. Christie C. Evers D. Palaniuk E. Tharp Cant go wrong with all the stud Oklahoma boys. Palaniuk 1. Has good history on Grand 2. Does well triangulating bass which is KEY at this time of season and 3. Is on a hot streak And Tharp? Tharp is a helluva stick and should cash a check
  16. Apparently was at the classic. I will save my judgement. If it provides something useful and ebay/amazon marks them down then they could be a nice little reel
  17. I have had some expensive braids fade to white. One in particular happened within a couple trips! Pline tcb and Daiwa 8x are probably best in my experience
  18. Sold my tatula CT and bought 4 fuego ct. I percieve no difference except in my wallet. I fish a lot of heavy vegetation and Ive never felt fuego ct flex. Casts every bit as good as tatula. Almost bought an SV for skipping until I realized I'm use to tat/fuego and skip well as is.
  19. I wacky rig. Afraid nose hooking will result in lost bait. But honestly I never DS a senko. I have plenty of other options I prefer. Takes a specific scenario to switch from neko rig senko to DS
  20. Gambler little ez. Done
  21. I use 3/8 usuallly. Especially in cold water as I can work it very slowly without it burying into the grass. I have 1/2oz when i wanna fish deeper or burn it back
  22. I thought of Grigsby...if the bass are on beds
  23. I am going to try to change our culture and share my picks early A. Adrian Avena: A versatile competitor who has a nack for cashing checks and is a solid flipper B. Mark Daniels Jr.: Dude is a stud and has the right mentality and eye to find that hidden spot. C. Gerald Spohrer: River rat who is due for a solid finish...lots of backwater fishing success. Almost picked Mcclelland for similar reasons. D. Bill Lowen: Understands current and is a limit getter E. Randal Tharp: Proven heavy grass flipper, frogger, chatterbaiter.
  24. Wow what a classic!
  25. I use a 6'6" rod! I dont lose a great deal of distance. It is lighter which makes it easier to work all day on a hot jerkbait bite.
