Need Some Input On My Next Setup
I am a big time lews fan.. and the speed spool is cheaper than the bpsQ so you can put a little more in a rod.. and for that.. I would say check TW and the ballistic rod is on sale for 64-68 dollars.. so then you are at 140 then buy you some good fluoro and you are done.

-
Okuma Calera Or Lews Laser Mg..
any recommendations on a quality rod that would be less than the speed spool.. which I can get around $80-85? I am really looking to save money on my frogging combo.. but to do that I am gonna have to skimp somewhere.. just cant decide what to do..

Okuma Calera Or Lews Laser Mg..
I like the speed spool and would get it over the tourney.. thanks for the advice though.. are the graphites just weak or what is the deal?

Okuma Calera Or Lews Laser Mg..
If price was not an issue ( I CAN GET BOTH ABOUT THE SAME PRICE) the okuma would be about 10 dollars cheaper. Which would you get. The calera is 6.6:1 and the MG would be 6.4:1.. application may vary depending on what I put it on.. I have a speed spool already from LEWS so I know of their quality.. havent heard much about the calera.. ANY THOUGHTS!!

Havoc Grass Pig Rigging

Havoc Grass Pig Rigging
I am kinda clueless on these but a buddy gave me a couple.. they look pretty sweet.. If I wanted to do a Weighted EWG or T-rig. any recommendations on hook size, weight, and rod/reel set up.. pretty much .. teach me how to use this thing. I dont ever do swimbaits.

Froggin Combo Suggestions
I am a DUCKETT fan and love them for sensitivity applications but I am looking for a lower end froggin combo.. I want a rod that apart from my stupidity will not break under rippin lip conditions. I am thinking 7ft heavy action.. with a 6.4:1 or 7.1:1 real.. I am a lews fan and have considered the laser mg I can get around 64.99 so my budget is around $150-170 for the combo as a whole.. RODS I have thought about are the Veritas, Vendetta, BPS carbonilte or other BPS.. Low end Lews Rod.. or would consider a little more expensive rod but then would have to get a cheap reel.. THOUGHTS?!!??!!!!???

Skeet Reese Spinnerbait/worm
okay.. it may be a little long for me to pop the bait down as I am 5'9 but I will give it a shot. I need a cranking rod for real!

Skeet Reese Spinnerbait/worm
So I currently have only two baitcasters. An amazing 7'3 MH Duckett. which is currently getting used for all my t-rig and jigs.. (I am gonna get a 7'6 Heavy for more variable eventually.) And then.. I have this Skeet Reese Spinner/Worm rod... I have been using it for spinners/cranks/chatters.. until I get a cranking rod... It is great for spinnerbaits.. but I dont use spinners all the time.. and the sensitivity on it for worms is TERRIBLE compared to the duckett Can you guys suggest any other uses for this rod... it has moderate fast tip and moderate action.. THANKS!

So the Duckett Rods with insertless guides split reel seat etc.. What do you guys think? Why are these so much cheaper than the micro magic?

Summer Bass Are Kicking My Butt - Help!
I see you like finesse stuff... well if ya dont want to have to get up super early (or in the middle of the night) try a shaky head. you might not be getting the biggest fish with it.. but its plenty of fun to catch a bunch of fish too 3/8 oz with any kind of finesse worm. DONT SHAKE IT.. just drop it down on spinning set up and then use your finger to tap the line about 3 times. then pick it up about 2ft then back down and repeat..

Flipping And Pitching Rod?

Feeling The Weight
I am currently learning how to pitch/flip jigs and creatures. I know there is a benefit to fishing lighter weight 1/4 ounce or less for a slower fall etc.. but when I drop to these weights I can barely feel the lure and I have a hard time casting it out without getting backlash when trying to let the line out to drop the lure... as opposed to using heavier weights 1/2 oz etc... HELP! SUGGESTIONS. thanks
