  1. Well I'm not going to sop trying fwiw despite my doubts that I may never break DD in the state ?
  2. I mean, uh... Yeah. Me too! Twice this week already I just don't want to give away my secret stash!
  3. Also you've got to include outliers like my home state of Massachusetts, nobody will ever beat the state record, or even come relatively close for that matter. 15lbs 8oz? Yeah right. Even my dreams are like "1,000 ft Golden temple to the left- 16lb bass? Forget it man."
  4. I'm usually by myself and now that I think of it my dialogue is absolutely ridiculous haha... More often than not I talk to the fish like I'm Chris Farley trying to get wings or something.
  5. It's alright man, we are all here for you!
  6. I don't throw them a lot except wacky rigged as a follow-up when frogging, but when I do it's only Zinkerz, and it's either in The Deal or Bama Craw on a Lake Fork Wedless Wacky Hook in 1/16th oz.
  7. It's true. I have a tendency to obsess. Also the paddle is already on CL to be rented out for freshman frat initiation weekend.
  8. That should match nicely with all your No Fear shirts.
  9. Yeah I'm still happy with it, I just want perfection haha... For someone who is as specific as I am, dialing is always going to be required. Check out the hand paddle! Left it a little long but I can trim it down if I want. Used a wide-palm bike handle bar grip, sacrificed a metal broom handle for the shaft and cut the paddle out of sheet stock. Threw a few tacks on to hold her together, sealed it with JB and slapped down a layer of paint so it looked a little less ghetto.
  10. Yeah that's the color I wanted, I love lime green. I really like the yak so far, and it's super comfy. That said I've got to say I'm a little disappointed with the hull. For how wide it is, it's still kind of tippy and it doesn't track very straight. I've already made myself a hand paddle for small adjustments while stopped and fishing but I will definitely be getting the rudder kit sooner than later.
  11. I am partial to the Bettencourt Rats- both jointed and non jointed are cool but I prefer the non jointed. Blows my mind when I put it next to a plastic rat (nttiawwt) and they both cost about the same, as the Betty is handmade and absolutely beautiful. It's even held up pretty much perfect after being hit a bunch of times, which is kind of surprising considering the rabbit fur. No idea why more people don't mention them in these rat threads. Well, probably because they never won iCast, which is fair enough I guess haha
  12. Lol. If you think Shimano has taken a dive then by all means don't buy one. There are plenty of options out there and nobody is forcing you. These threads are always hilarious though. I'm sad I missed 4 pages of ranting and arguing over minutia!
  13. I fish both soft and hard jerkbaits from a kayak and have no problem. Same for walking frogs too fwiw. I don't see the problem.
  14. Lol... TWS is about as effective at preventing pattern baldness as it is at stopping flouro from being its own worst enemy.
  15. Yeeeeeeah Hootie!!
  16. First time back out in a couple weeks early this AM. It rained, was a bit windy and cold but who cares, I needed it. Caught a couple dinks and a few panfish that were approaching too-big-for-the-pan sized, but no big bucketfaces today.
  17. Cant stress this enough. Never play a low life's game. The second you step on that field you always lose.
  18. Gentlemen, hide your wallets. Just when you thought the 110 was going to be the death of you... The Kanata cometh. Hot dayum what a beast! This beaut is en route and is going to get thrown EVERYWHERE.
  19. I use the force. I just let em know these aren't the droids they're looking for and let them go on their way.
  20. Joey that is a basketball with fins!
  21. If there was any shred of "need" in my desire for high end spinning reels I might consider your stance. Thankfully there is not!
  22. DANG! I stopped working on the boat for five minutes to check emails and ended up buying a Jackall Mini Magallon, an Imakatsu Killer Bill Minnow (the bigger 1/2oz ones) and *buy of the day* a 300yd spool of 8# CXX for $5. This makes me happy. Stability and comfort are my primary concerns. I just dread the multitude of accessories I will no doubt "need" shortly after taking delivery.
