dropshotting
Also I'd like to ask how far do you guys suspend the weight below the hook? Most everyone I have seen using the drop shot let the weight hang a little lower than the end of the worm they are using. When looking at the weights someone recommended on the BPS site, they had they had pre rigged hooks on a 6 ft. line. cwb60

Installing hot foot
Thanks Garnett & fishfordollars, that is the kind of info I was looking for. Now, where do I measure from to determine which kit or length cable I need, or do you buy for a certain length boat and size motor? I need it for a 15 ft. Skeeter with a 70 HP mercury. Thanks cwb60

Installing hot foot
I would like to put a hot foot on my boat, and was wondering if any of you guys have installed one. Have seen several on ebay, but they only come with the foot control. Seems like you should be able to buy a kit to install them, or will your existing throttle cable work with the hot foot? What are the pitfalls that I should be aware of? Thanks cwb60

Floating Rubber Worms...
Never tried it, but I think you could use one of the little styrofoam floats that is made like a sinker, and peg it against the hook eye. I have used them on a carolina rig to try to get the worm to float up and maybe have a little more action, but don't think it helped or hurt any. cwb60

Innovative Soft Plastics
Hey Matlures That thing is impressive, guess the monkey got me! What colors do you like best? Down here in the drought stricken south the water is crystal clear. Thought I might try some on a light fluorocarbon line.

Why am I telling you this...?
No, never used them, in fact never heard of them. Post a pic and I will try to find some. I haven't caught that many fish in my last 4 trips. cwb60

Thanks Glen, now that makes sense. It will make the rest of the wiring easier now. cwb60- wiring problems on 87 skeeter with 80 HP mercury
I bought a used boat with a 80 mercury on it. It has some wiring problems. Got everything working, but I have one wire I can't figure out. The wire has been disconnected and looks like it was a male , female type connector. Female part is gone. Wire runs from male part back to the power tilt cylinder housing. There is what looks like some kind of switch there with a spring loaded button. If the motor is in the down position it would push the button in and let it come back out if it is in the up position. Does anyone know what this switch is for. The power tilt still works without it being hooked up. I have not found the emergency kill switch on this thing. Could it be part of that that has been disconnected? Could it be some kind of preset for setting the motor where you get up on plane best? Any help will be appreciated cwb60- Favorite way to work a spinnerbait?
