I always cut the line if a fish swallows the hook, always. I u have some sort of bolt cutter than that could work but otherwise some heavy damage can be done to the fish trying to rip it out. Way better chance of survival. I fish plastic worms weightless so typically this is not an issue as I set the hook after a very short wait. If I'm not paying attention and they run with it, that can be another story.

I have yet to get a line wet in the river, never heard any info on it or how good it was for Bass. I'm not far from it, I need to get down there and try it out.

Just want to introduce myself,John from NH. Lontime Bass fisherman and all around fishing nut. Have tried to find more spots in southern NH to bass fish but haven't had too much time to go looking and found this site. Hopefully this will lead me in some more directions!
