Pflueger Reel - Need Spare Spool!?
Yes, to answer your question the president and supreme xt spools are interchangeable. I am currently running a supreme XT 35 spool on my President 35. The supreme xt 9235 spool will fit your 6935 reel.

What Gear Ratio To Get On New Baitcast Reel? 5:4:1/ 6:4:1/ 7:1:1 ?
The slow speed stuff is only ideal for big crankbaits that pull and dive hard, even then sometimes when reeling your bait down into the strike zone they can be a pain. I dont like them for anything else. None of the swimbaits I fish require that type of ratio either. Go with 6.4:1 for that application. I think its an easy decision.

Battery Usage?
I have an older outboard and for some reason it takes a very strong battery to crank it over. Its been like this since I bought it five years ago. AGM's are a must. So I do not plug anything else into the cranker. But I would if I could.

Tatula Baitcast Reel And Braid
It wont be a problem. Ive got hours on the tatula and Tatula type R and dont have anything outstanding to say about either. They are both good reels, quality for what I paid is fine. The TWing deal honestly does not seem to make a differance and I dont notice its there while on the water. The button push is a little stiffer but not a problem. I worry about the T-wing being another thing to fail down the line but so far no issues. Overall I would say go for it assuming you are not asking it to perform like a Chronarch/Zillion/Curado E.

Beginner Looking For Your Thoughts
I am sure they are both good reels!! There is a lot to choose from in that price range if you shop around. If it was my money, having no experiance with Lews but plenty of experiance with Abu. I would give Lew's a try. I havent yet because Daiwa and Shimano get to my money too fast.

Senko Falls Apart
Bring the torn baits home and use a product called Mend-It to fix each bait. Hard to believe but the baits will seem good as new.

Crankbait Hook Sets
I always give it one more controlled tug after the initial sweep set. These tips are all good and well until you get short lined while pulling up a deep crankbait.....

Pre Spawn Spawn Post Spawn
In-Fishermans "Largemouth" and "Smallmouth" books go into this type of detail. They are not the most exciting books to read but have lots of factual stuff.

Worst Boat Traffic Lake In State
Western Washington, pick a lake. Samamish, Whatcom (Just while launching at bleodel), Lake Washington, all bad. Eastern WA, probably Chelan or Wallula. I really cannot complain about fishing pressure becasue aside from big bass tourney weekends the lakes I regularly fish have relatively no bass fishing pressure whatsoever. If I was chasing Salmon it would be a different deal to speak of. I get excited when I see other bass boats out. Also, you cannot blame jetskiers, they dont know any better. Its just folks trying to have a good time with their kids usually. Its ironic because I used to be a wakeboarder and I hated when bass boats would ruin our water, now I am a bass fisherman and I hate it when wakeboard boats attempt to capsize me.

Carp, And Why I Hate Them...
The commercial gaffs do look increadibly cheap. Don't worry there are always folks on the bank who are more than greatfull to take the dead carp off my hands. I have not looked into the WA state regs but I figure that if you can bowfish for them than you can spear/gaff them. Carp are invasive to bass habitat as they uproot vegetation, kick up bottom and suck up eggs. I have read that they are especially threatening to the largemouth spawn, which bothers me because the largemouth population is struggling in our waters while the carp population is absolutely thriving. I kind of get the idea that I am the only one fishing waters as densly populated, as I have not been out yet this year where I have not snagged at least one Carp. Like I said I had a five carp day last weekend and a three carp day this weekend on two different lakes 100 miles away each other. I run and gun most of the time too so its not like I am snagging them all in one spot either.

Leaks
elastometric roof coating will give you the most bang for your buck. You can work into the leaking cracks with a paintbrush. Quick and Dirty. If you are trying to do a clean job you can replace rivits. But this will require some tools. JB weld does not expand/contract like aluminum and will work for some applications but not others. A rinoliner will add some weigth to a small baot and needs to be considered. I am not sure how much. But I sure like the idea as it will also provide some sound insulation which is much needed in a jon boat. Would certainly cost more than the boat is worth but that means nothing if you are going to be using the boat a lot.

Carp, And Why I Hate Them...
Yeh, if you hook them close to the mouth they sometimes feel like largmouth the way they bulldog you. Its pretty heartbreaking when it surfaces. The Carp in our area are typiclly in the 8lbs to 15lbs range but they swim so good and have endless stamina. 20+ pounders must be another story.

Carp, And Why I Hate Them...
I estimate that I spent an hour and a half of my very valued time on the water last weekend battling these fish. In total I snagged 5 carp last weeknd that I could not shake off and had to battle 3 of them into the boat to avoid losing LC crankbaits. The other two I just broke off because they were on a drop shot and a tube. And a handfull of others I was able to shake off. I dont remember having this problem a few years ago. Are these fishing getting more aggressive? Are they evolving? (; These fish dont quit, and they are so strong, and I end up chasing them down the lake most the time while fighting them. I was thinking about getting a gaff pole so that I could get them in the boat quicker...Anybody have experiance using a gaff? Would this help?

Spawning Smallies?
Wow, thats deep. I was about to give some really bad smallmouth advice never fishing Pickwick. But even here in WA after they spawn they do tend to group up on those channel edges with current. But we can still catch big singles right on or near their spawning flats well into postspawn. They just wont be grouped up like they were during the spawn and they wont be the healthiest fish either. I think the ones that linger need more time to recover in the slack water.

Inexpensive Polarized Shade Help.
These 5 dollar berkley's have great polarization. I have tested them side-by-side with a pair of polarized Oakleys and Maui Jims. The Berkleys cut the surface better than both with no contest.

Bassmaster Elite Boundary Maps Of Lakes?
The so-called "boundaries" are those set forth by the governing states WL department, which are the same waters that are off limits to you and I. Sometimes the marina where they release the fish is also off-limits. Typically all water that is reachable in the amount of time given is fair game. Check out the scoretracker on Sunday of this weekends Table Rock Lake event. The anglers will be fishing that whole thing, maybe as much as 70 miles apart. On some tourney waters a 100-150 mile on-way run is not unheard of.

Best Lake In Your State
WA State: Moses Lake. Caught both green and brown over six pounds... Not to discount Potholes which is a superior tournament lake. Moses Lake see's very little pressure once the spawn is over and still produces quality limits all summer and fall. Plus it is the right size for my 60HP basstracker (:

Sandiego Jam
I am shocked that people are having issues with the palomar knot... If you give yourself plenty of line to tie it with it is fool proof. All of these knots are easy to tie but the palomar is quick and requires little to no finessing. Double it up for braid.

Starter Baitcasters
Just make sure you buy a right handed reel if you reel your spinning gear with your right hand and a lefty if you reel your spinning gear with your left hand.
